Some of us still haven’t put the 2020 elections to bed even as early voting has started for the 2022 Primary Elections. No doubt you’ve seen the mailers, TV ads and phone calls from candidates, but we don’t hear much buzz among voters. Are they perhaps worn out with politics and politicians or just keeping their politics on the down-low?

We don’t have presidential or gubernatorial primaries this year but there are important races, including contested primaries for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Senator Burr’s retirement, two of the seven North Carolina Supreme Court seats, four of the 15 N.C. Court of Appeals Judges, all 170 seats in the General Assembly, sheriff elections in every county and a number of municipal elections.
