I had read elsewhere it’s suspect a Freon leak out of the room air conditioner. While Freon isn’t toxic, it can displace oxygen and you asphyxiate.

I had read elsewhere it’s suspect a Freon leak out of the room air conditioner. While Freon isn’t toxic, it can displace oxygen and you asphyxiate. Doubt there is enough Freon in an air conditioner to asphyxiate someone, especially given that Freon is heavier than air and will fall to the ground and flow underneath the door or any other opening through which it can escape.

I also think somehow or another you can get phosgene gas out of faulty air conditioning systsms. That was used in WW1 as a poison gas.
