The national average price for regular gasoline reached a new record-high on Tuesday, according to AAA.
The new high — $4.37 a gallon — breaks the previous record of $4.33 set on March 11.
Gas prices jumped 5 cents overnight and a whopping 17 cents in the past week, CNN reported.
California, Nevada and Hawaii have all reached an average of more than $5 per gallon. Diesel fuel also set an all-time record on Tuesday of $5.50 a gallon.
“With the cost of oil accounting for more than half of the pump price, more expensive oil means more expensive gasoline,” AAA spokesperson Andrew Gross said. “These prices are creeping closer to those record-high levels of early March.”
The new highs come after the national average began to fall in April after the release of oil from emergency reserves.
Gas prices are up roughly 25 percent since Russia first invaded Ukraine, CNN reported. The Biden administration has repeatedly cited Russian president Vladimir Putin as the cause of Americans’ pain at the pump.
Meanwhile, Andy Lipow, president of Lipow Oil Associates, told CNN he believes retail gas prices will reach $4.50 a gallon in the next week to ten days.
Rising oil costs mean the average American household may pay almost $2,000 more for gasoline in 2022, Yardeni Research said in March.
“In addition, we estimate that the average household is currently spending at least $1,000 [according to a seasonally adjusted annual rate] more on food as a result of rapidly rising grocery prices,” wrote Edward Yardeni, the president of the firm, according to Fox Business. “That’s $3,000 less money that households have to spend on other consumer goods and services, which also are experiencing rapid price increases.”
Things are looking UP again for the Brandon administration. Especially gas prices. They’re really UP. Biden is a Nazi pig.
Thank a Democrat!
This is the only chance to get the attention of the public, outside of what their tvs tell them. Pain. Make it hurt, make it hurt really bad. Maybe, just maybe the dolts will connect the dots and realize it’s Dems bringing the pain.
As has been pointed out to me, there’s lots of pain in Dem cities and they still vote Dem. I would suggest that most Dems are lost causes, and it’s really the independents and the RINOs, (Reps who secretly vote Dem), who can respond to this pain.
Wait until diesel hits $7 a gallon.

All time high for gas, Dow down, and a pants crapping retard will speak on the economy today…
It was $6.49 by me the other day.
“It was $6.49 by me the other day.”
It’s pushing $6 here in the west suburbs of Chicago.
L
It’s not too far from that now.
And our emergency reserves are dry.
I’m Philly burbs.
Brandon is not wasting any time taking this country down so as to punish normal everyday Americans and pressure them into his radical Leftist vision. Too bad so many “voters” thought he was a moderate old gentleman who would bring the country together with centrist governance and save us from the harping media and the so called mean tweets.
So they opted for Biden and they got a fascist who is taking us down.
It’ll be $7 a gallon soon. And $8 won’t be far behind that.
L
Diesel is $6.49 here in NH.
Regular unleaded $4.19-$4.49
More billions for Ukraine!! Jail the “insurrectionists” of Jan. 6!! Orange Man bad!! Save Roe vs. Wade!! Moar NFL!! Moar grillin’!! Let’s go green!!
Americans a getting exactly what they deserve.
The price of natural gas, the core ingredient of fertilizer, is inversely proportional to the production of food. The lunatic green assault on fossil fuels will cause worldwide food shortages, famine and hunger wars.

They know.........................
I hope all those Trump haters who voted for Brandon are enjoying their soon to be $5 gas. Of course they will take solace that Brandon will blame Putin and Trump.
I remember speaking to a Democrat years ago who said that he thought gas should cost over $5/gallon.
This is what Democrats have wanted, and will say so, in the rare moment when they’re being honest.
