The United States is treading deeper into the war in Ukraine, with President Biden signing the modern-day version of a bill that helped pull the country into World War II and Democrats in the House rushing to consider a substantial increase to the amount of money the nation is pouring into the conflict with Russia.
The Ukraine Democracy Defense Lend-Lease Act, which Mr. Biden signed on Monday, paves the way for more weapons to be delivered quickly to Ukrainians for their fight against Russia. While Mr. Biden has sent troops to neighboring countries, he has stopped short of sending them to Ukraine.
The historic nature of the act will linger over Capitol Hill this week. The House could consider as soon as Tuesday an emergency $39.8 billion package of military and humanitarian aid — $7 billion more than what Mr. Biden had requested.

Just to say that many western experts warned for decades that the actions of the US and NATO would lead to the confrontation we’re now seeing.....There was every opportunity to turn away from this war, and instead the US hit the accelerator and drove right into it. Knowingly......There was an opportunity to avert this horror, and that opportunity wasn’t taken.
History may well show his to be the single most depraved presidency of all time.

The southern border crossers are our replacement population and part of the Plan; get used to it for another 2-3 years.
Our military is not idle - its busy converting into an extreme social experiment. How do you expect troops to rapidly gain weight, if they are active, huh?
Our military’s weapon stockpiles are better used elsewhere, because those unnecessary, sharp, pointy weapons are detrimental to the New US military - mentally and physically standard-less, all gay, screwed up, pencil necked, over-weight, couch potatoes it is transforming into. So get a grip and quit complaining.

Monthly payment from a country that is rapidly running out of its cash reserves and will be dead broke in a few months and whose population is in the same boat? You are joking, right?
They call this “Lend-Lease”. I’m curious about the terms. When will the lent items be returned? How much are the monthly lease payments?
There’s no doubt this stupid “program” is a massive fraud and that a huge percentage of the money and arms will be stolen almost as soon as it hits the border.

As you know, it was originally a scheme cooked up between the US and UK in the early days of WWII whereby the US supplied weapons and other useful commodities and in payment, the UK offered space for military bases throughout the world. My great-uncle the Admiral was stationed at a US facility in Bermuda throughout the war. Tough gig. )))
Anyway, Biden’s statement shows that he does not understand the terms of either the “Lend” portion of the deal, or the “Lease” provisions. He isn’t “lending” anything. If the tank that he is “lending” is untouched, or damaged or destroyed, the Ukes get to keep it. No matter what. As for the lease, unlike the British Empire, any “leases” are going to be on territory owned by Ukraine and disputed by Russia. Zelensky might as well tell Biden that his now leased base is in Sevastopol in Crimea. All Biden has to do to take possession is evict the prior tenants.
