LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles County Registrar's Office and the United States Postal Service are investigating after 104 ballots were found unopened on the sidewalk in East Hollywood.
The ballots were found by Christina Repaci, who was walking her dog Saturday evening.
"I turned the corner and I just saw this box of envelopes, and it was a USPS box. I picked some envelopes up and I saw they were ballots," said Repaci.
Repaci said she took them home for safekeeping while trying to figure out what to do next. She sent videos of the ballots to popular social media accounts to share the content and ask for guidance on next steps. Repaci said she called several politicians and the LA County Sheriff's Department.
"I actually called the Sheriff's Department. I couldn't get through, so I emailed them," she said. "I got an email back from a deputy basically in so many words saying it wasn't their problem, and to contact the USPS."

And yet we still have people here swearing that 100% of everyone in California is a Democrat because Democrats always win elections there and that Democrats would never ever cheat
Most secure election ever...
You know with that mantra right after the election... They told severing it was rigged.
Who are you talking about NEWB???
Well it appears he is talking about an honest California citizen who uncovered a vote bundling operation.
And how her actions are inconsistent with the stereotype that Californians are a monolithic block of moronic liberals.
the fix is in - i hope there are fingerprints to be lifted and people who will squeal. let’s blow this wide open, LA.
Also interesting to note that LA in October 2020 had the largest Trump car/truck rally in the nation, the convoy for freedom from a few weeks ago was in the thousands, and yet the pro abortion rally a few days ago had a measly 75 people at most
A legal chain of custody would say that the ballots should be destroyed as invalid.
That could be the intent if they are identifiably republican.
My best guess is that they should be added to the pile of provisional ballots and only used in the event the election is close, and then only after they have been verified as valid by contacting the voters in question.
we all like to assume that the balloting process is anonymous but anyone who pays attention will see during the ballot assignment in the polling location that there is a number associated with the ballot and that number is associated with your registration. It may not be as easy as a google search, but they can certainly track down who supposedly voted a ballot.
Yeah, but it’s not widespread . . .
I thought they’d be from the 2020 election. But they are primary ballots for the upcoming election. Next week.
And yet we still have people here swearing that 100% of everyone in California is a Democrat because Democrats always win elections there and that Democrats would never ever cheat
People here??? I took that to mean people on FR.
I read “here” as California.
Investigating, funny
Really? You took umbrage at that?
I am sure that the Gavin-led Democrats will right on this!!! .... NOT!
“Repaci said she took them home for safekeeping while trying to figure out what to do next. She sent videos of the ballots to popular social media accounts...”
The ballots were in a USPS box...and she couldn’t figure out what to do with them? She actually relied on social media accts to tell her what to do?
“OMG, like whatever, like man...what do I, like, do with these, like OMG!”
No wonder Pubbies in California consistently get themselves ripped a new rear-hole by the Dems.
Maybe ballottrack.com should look into this,,,

( not holding my breath though )
Fair enough...I’m often wrong
Yeah kinda did....thought the NEWB was talking about FREEPERS
From your link....
“Based in Denver, BallotTrax is also used by Nevada, Colorado, North Carolina and Georgia, as well as individual counties in ten other states.”
I’m in NC and never heard of this. Probably the Dem creeps, in charge over here, that don’t want me to know about it. Will research it...
The only reason I was badmouthing this CA lady is because an acquaintance here in NC had checks stolen from a USPS blue box. The checks were “repurposed” by the thief for a couple grand more and deposited in the thief’s acct (stupid, I know). The friend didn’t know what to do. Within 90 seconds, I’d dug up the USPS Postal Inspector’s number online specifically for stolen checks. Passed it on to the friend. The bad guy was caught.
Sometimes, people’s helplessness drives me nuts.
