LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) – With a week to go in the Pennsylvania Senate race, the leading candidates are pulling out all the stops and bringing in their biggest endorsements to help swing undecided voters.
Dave McCormick, who finished third but within the margin of error of leading a new Trafalgar Poll, will be joined by Texas Senator Ted Cruz in Lancaster on May 13.
McCormick and Cruz will be at the Listrak Headquarters in Lititz from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., according to an event invite.
Attendees must register to attend the event.
McCormick and Cruz will also have an event on May 12 in Allegheny County, according to the county’s party chair. Cruz previously stumped for McCormick during a January rally in Lehigh County.
McCormick has been in a three-way battle with Mehmet Oz and Kathy Barnette in recent polls of Pennsylvania’s Republican voters. A significant portion of the electorate remains undecided despite former President Donald Trump endorsing Oz and rallying for him in western Pennsylvania last week.
“I don’t know David (McCormick) well, and he may be a nice guy, but he’s not MAGA,” said Trump during the rain-soaked rally. “He’s not MAGA. He’s more (Pat) Toomey than he is MAGA.”

He will probably pull it off. Freepers and many PA republicans are splitting the vote between Oz and Bernett just as Rove wants them to. Kathy is a good candidate but the fact is she couldn’t even take her own district in 2020. I think the PA seat is lost.

6 weeks ago you probably didn’t think Barnette could win the nomination. She’s now in a 3 way statistical tie with all the momentum. It’s kind of early to write her off in the general.

FWIW, I watched Fox News Hannity program the other day. He gave an impassioned plea/defense of Dr. Oz. He stated unequivocally that he has known Dr. Oz for a great many years just as he’s known President Trump for many many years and he told his viewers that just like he has and had complete confidence in President Trump’s love for this country and willingness to defend this country so, he says Dr. Oz is cut from the same cloth.
I am not making any judgment here. I do not live in Pa. I did receive two speeding tickets once while traveling through the state. I am merely pointing out Sean Hannity’s passionate support for that candidate.
She lost her house race by 19 points. I heard what she said about Trump losing too, but Trump “lost” by 1 point. Oz will self finance, where are you planning on coming up with enough money to beat the democrat. How much money does she have on hand? You know that Mitch won’t give her a dime. So, where does she come up with the millions of dollars a senate run requires? Who is she going to go to for fund raising?
