The article says he's an "artificial intelligence" executive at Apple. His LinkedIn profile says he "Director of Machine Learning" at Apple. He made his way to Senior Staff Research Scientist in two stits at Google of less than three years. He also worked at OpenAI.

He got a BS and MS in Computer Science from Stanford, and a PhD in Machine Learning at the University of Montreal.

He is very employable.

Here is my concern... From the article:

If that speculation is true, it means that the EVP was told confidential executive stategy plans and acted on it personally, thereby exposing it prematurely to the workforce. That means he was never really executive material.

To me, it's the same mentality as the SCOTUS leaker who found out confidential information and took it upon himself to expose it to everyone for personal reasons.

With his salary, 401k, investments, bonuses, etc; he probably has FU money. The company will probably wind up hiring him as an independent contractor at a much increased total cost. He can also do contract work for other high tech companies.
