“Infrastructure” translated means looting and grifting. The Clinton Administration did the same thing.

It ain't any of the federal governments business. The US Constitution gives the power to Congress to build post offices and post roads. That should be limited to two post offices and two roads, in the middle of no where. We do not need the USPS any longer. We certainly don't need the US Dept of Transportation. Everything they touch turns to sheeeet.
I agree, and airlines should be left alone by the federal government entirely, except at international points of entry and even then it should only be customs.
But.. then again.. why even have customs? if liberals don’t mind millions streaming across the southern border, why stop them at the airports?
Federal money should only go for Federal roads.
Exactly. Imagine unfettered civil liability suits against airlines for air traffic control caused accidents. If airlines ran air traffic control as a consortium it would be ultra high tech, cost very little and work. Airlines would have ever motivation to be safe.
It wasn't so long ago that the federal government had not TSA. Airports provided their own security. No need for union controlled fat people looking at my junk or telling me to take off my shoes.
Like you said, Customs and Immigration Control is the government's business. Perhaps less and very limited government with a lot of focus on very limited things would provide excellent service to citizens.
If he wants to invest in Infrastructure, he must first reign in the government red tape and baseless lawsuits.
Without it, all these projects will never go anywhere!

TSA is the biggest make-work project since FDR’s alphabet agencies from the Depression-era. Basically it’s an unskilled leaf-raking job.

How about sinking a few bucks into Civilian Defense? It might be nice to have a strategic grain stockpile, among other things, should we be attacked by EMP, of a limited nuclear attack, otherwise, we can be blackmailed by every little country that obtains nukes, and they’re all racing to get them.
