Satanic Temple pushes Boston to fly its flag after Supreme Court ruling in favor of Christian group

Days after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Boston, Massachusetts, was wrong to prohibit a group from flying a Christian flag at city hall, The Satanic Temple wants to fly a flag over the downtown building.

The Salem-based group wrote on Twitter that it has filed a request with Boston’s property management department to raise and lower a flag to observe “Satanic Appreciation Week” from July 23–29.

“The Satanic Temple replies to the Supreme Court ruling that found Boston violated First Amendment rights by refusing to fly Christian flag at City Hall Plaza,” the organization wrote, with a screenshot of the request.

“When government officials are able to impose arbitrary restrictions on claims of conscience, or to abridge the civic capacities of some based on their religious identity, we fail to be a free, democratic republic,” Lucien Greaves, the organization’s co-founder, told The Associated Press in an email.

Greaves added that The Satanic Temple has yet to decide which of its official flags it will ask the city to fly.

One of its flags looks like the American flag with only black and white stripes and an emblem of a pentagram and goat skull where the 50 stars would be.

If they did it before the court ruling, Boston would say “jump how high”.

Well that is what the radical Libertaians and democrats want.

Eff the regular people who might find a satanic flag offensive.

It's all in the name of fairness and divesity, to the less than 1%, who worship that satanic flag.

The Satanic Temple is pretty much nothing more than a lawsuit organization, much like Westboro Baptist.

They go after schools that have allowed the Christian "Good News" club to have after school meetings and then demand the same school allows Satanic Temple club meetings, and then they'll sue if they're denied. Often, the schools will just ban all clubs as opposed to accommodating the Satanists.

Also, how does a satanic "temple"(I would call it a coven), get their "donations"?

They probably ask for blood in the donation basket.

Here’s an idea, Boston. Just fly the American flag and the Massachusetts flag. And maybe your city flag if you feel like it. But that’s it. No gay pride flags, no BLM flags, no Christian flags, etc.

The Constitutin wasn’t written to give Satan the same rights as Christianity, to allow any group to call itself an “establishment of religion.”

If they believe in Satin, then they believe in God.

Indeed. You’re correct. Virtue signaling inevitably leads to unanticipated consequences, all of them bad.

If they believe in Satin, then they believe in God.

Yes but they don't trust God for their salvation. They are at war with God, thus their alignment with Satan.

Like a circling Horsefly on the backside of the City.
How to get rid of this pest, once and for all?

i predicted this would happen after the scotus ruling. next will be a nazi flag then a kkk flag.

there is no need to fly anything over the statehouse except a US flag.

It’s odd. It may sound contradictory, but Satanism doesn’t allow for murder.

At least not its most common branch.

I didn’t say they obey God. I’m just pointing out that these idiots don’t understand that by worshipping Satin they are at the same time affirming God.

Even if they simply deny God (the athiest position), they’re yet stuck with the inherent problem of nothingness — something cannot come of nothing.

They are ontologically stuck with God — their problem, not mine, as God is not a problem for me.
