President Joe Biden has given Amazon, for which billionaire Jeff Bezos serves as chairman of the board, a $10 billion federal contract despite having pledged to American union workers not to reward corporations accused of union-busting tactics.

For years, Amazon has been accused of trying to prevent its warehouse workers across the United States from unionizing amid reports that the corporation has put its workforce in dangerous scenarios under ruthless shipping quotas.

“Nothing to see here.”

Correct. Dimjo has made a career out of telling his constituents what they want to hear. Then doing what he
thinks will provide the most in kickbacks. Either directly
or to a family member.
I guess Bezos has deeper pockets than the union(s).

No problemo though. They still love him. Well, the leadership does. I am not to sure about the rank & file, but really they don’t count except for the union dues.

Amazon Washington Post are deep state.

Amazon is a great company, but using government collaboration via Covid and their media mouthpiece spreading hysteria, to put their competitors out of business is reprehensible.

The greater totalitarianism of the techno state is evil.

This $10 bil will offset any wage increases brought on by unionization.

I have worked inside an Amazon Fulfillment Center, and I am also anti-union in views. I believe unions were a great thing for working people in the past, however they are antiquated organizations that only strive to feed their dependence on government contracts and drown out free market contractors that can do the same job under budget and have the job finished on time or earlier. That being said, if there is one sector of the job market that needs a union, It is places like Amazon, Target, Walmart etc. Those companies work them like modern slaves. I have way too many stories to tell on the atrocious work environment those companies have, this is not a disgruntled employee opinion, I was an outside contractor and witnessed it from the perspective of outside looking in.
