LOUISVILLE, Ky. – There’s really nothing normal about this, not at all.
Stuff 20 3-year-old horses into a metal contraption. Surround them with about 150,000 cheering fans, many lunatics fortified for the previous eight hours with alcoholic beverages. Have them run 1 1/4 miles with tiny, brave humans on their backs. Make them turn left a couple of times. See which one emerges first. Then throw roses on that horse’s back.

I hope Gutfeld covers it.
Maybe even Tucker!
You only win the one by being lucky and having the system randomly pick for you. Talking about exotics... first time I took my grandson to the track I explained to him that the WORST THING was for newbies to get lucky. They then think its easy, easy money and they are genuius. Then they start betting big and lose a small fortune. So just for fun we buy a trfectfa for the first race based strictly on funny names. It wins and pays enough on a 50 cent bet to pay for our food and drinks for the night. Im thinking “Oh god, I just destroyed my speech on the way here...” lol
Maybe that is because Tesla is a competitor against Ford’s EV company?
Another Stephen Sondheim musical, A Little Nite Music also had women all decked out in the fanciest clothing, including fancy hats.
Let me tell you my story. I went to Turfway Park to pick up a friend who worked there. I was 55 and had never bet a horse, couldn’t tell you who’d won the last derby. He was running late so I decided to make a $2 bet. Told them I wanted the longest odds in the race. Damn thing wired the field at 76-1. They’ve been reeling me in ever since. I bet to win big and loose small. I love the dime super. Why, in the name of Secretariat, don’t they allow a dime super in the 20 horse derby?
I was in a stage production (orchestra) of My Fair Lady before I ever saw the movie.
When musicals were musicals!
I was watching network NBC streaming on my tablet and the PEACOCK network on my big screen. Sometimes I do that on live events because different views will be presented.
NBC streaming- the Ford commercial.
PEACOCK- a GMC commercial.
Both at the same time🙂.
“COME ON, DOVER! MOVE YER BLOOMIN ARSE!”
LOL! Never gets old.
I always wondered if the term “perl clutching” came into being from that scene.
One of my all time favorite movies. And yes, they don’t make em like that any more sigh... And Audrey is my golden girl.

Why did Putin invade Ukraine? Because he is living in the nonrecoverable past of Tsarist empires. So be careful/ I do this too. I am just giving you a hard time. Too much nostalgia clouds present judgement and present day IQ.
I once asked my father after what his favorite decade was. Without hesitation he said the 1950s. He lived through the Great Depression and fought in WW2.

Do any automobile companies ever advertise on Fox News? They never did on Rush Limbaugh. GMC trucks did on Glenn Beck about 10 years ago.. They lasted one month.
I hear you but have always acknowledged that the only constant in life is “change”. So no “old dogs can’t learn new tricks for me” mindset for me.
Right on! I make daily efforts to not get into a rut. To do things differently all the time. I have many friends who prefer the safety of the rut.
For them, it is far preferable to deal with the devil that you do know.
I’m around grandkids constantly and they are a reminder to keep a young mindset, not to get jaded with life but keep that wide eyed excitement of living.
That’s a good question. I’ve seen plenty of My Pillow and Tunnels for Towers commercials, though.
Even pathetic CNN and MSNBC have more truck and automobile advertising than Fox News. Though I will admit I have not looked in the last five years.
