In a statement late Thursday, Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby said "the Ukrainians have their own intelligence capabilities to track and target Russian naval vessels, as they did in this case."
"We did not provide Ukraine with specific targeting information for the Moskva," Kirby added, "We were not involved in the Ukrainians' decision to strike the ship or in the operation they carried out."
A U.S. senior defense official also said "we do provide a range of intelligence to help the Ukrainians understand the threat posed by Russian ships in the Black Sea and to help them prepare to defend against potential sea-based assaults."

Weasel wording. We didn’t target them as in put the pipper on them. We merely conducted surveillance with a P8 reconnaissance plane, identified the target positively for them, and maintained surveillance through the attack. And the attack was probably Brit “advisors” telling their uke counterpart to push that button. The missile was a Brit harpoon with a uke name painted on it.

Very interesting that the Uke governor of Luhansk reported that the Rus have opened a new front attacking near Severo at Bilohrivka.. about 15K uke troops in that area and are about to have supply roads cut off.

Damn. If this turns out to be the case then the Russians deserved what they got. It is beyond negligent to be in a shooting war, in range of enemy weapons, and not have your sensors and defensive weapons systems online...
Poland has been trying very hard to get NATO permission to do a “peacekeeping mission” in Ukraine. It has surprised me since they are strongly anti-Russian and I couldn’t imagine them as a neutral peacekeeping force...:-)
Will be interesting to see what is going on behind the scenes. Russia has now made it clear it is not going back across the border; it plans to stay in eastern and southern Ukraine and it has made clear it has no interest in Western Ukraine.
People have been speculating about it ending up as a land locked rump state.
Of course, the Poles know first hand how a Russian partition of a country works. First they take half in the partition, then they take the other half later. Just like they did to Poland.
