California went to an optional mask status about 2+ months ago. Seldom, do we see anyone wearing a mask outside or in stores.
I had my annual BP check done at My HMO/PPO, on 5 May 2022.
I got out of my car and put on my mask from India. Then, I walked about 125 yards from the parking lot to the BP checkin station in the clinic.
Then, I was ushered into a BP monitoring room by an RN.
I sat down with the mask still on, and the RN got the following results using her stethoscope and a BP arm band.
BP with mask still on: 137/87
3-5 minutes later after removal of mask:
BP without mask: 128/71

It is not “science” we’ve been ‘following’ nor have the destructive policies that were implemented (& some are still in place) followed “science’. No, what was inflicted on us was POLITICAL science and as it was meant for political results & not the HEALTH & wellbeing of humanity, the results have been catastrophic with millions dead & millions with adverse effects, including death by jab, economies destroyed, the country split into factions, discrimination, loss of personal freedoms & bodily autonomy, etc.
True science needs to be restored, but this will not happen as long as censorship & tyranny are active in this country & in fact, around the world in what appears to be a highly coordinated effort.
Totally agree with your assessment. Use common sense and do what you think is right for you and your family based on the circumstances. Don’t let the “everyone must mask or we all die” or “Covid is a just a cold, anyone who wears a mask is a liberal wimp” fanatics on either side dictate how you live your life.

Anyone who is honest, and makes a rational assessment of their own health, and the health of their direct acquaintances and family members over the last two years, must admit we were had.
Without the non-stop media and government fear-mongering, the lockdowns and mask-wearing nonsense, the crazed “testing” frenzy, and the “vaccine” mandates, Covid would have gone entirely unnoticed.
The supposed symptoms of Covid were not even enough to cause anyone to call the doctor, much less get “tested” or take a “vaccine”.
We were completely had - and they have had us jumping through hoops for almost two years.
Why? I’m not 100% sure.
- Big Governments always love a crisis.
- Bloated bureaucracies are always full of people who exist to run other people’s lives.
- Big Pharma always looks for ways to exploit and reap windfall profits.
- Dishonest Politicians always look for opportunities to assume control or cheat in elections.
There are lots of reasons - but mostly because in the early days of fear-mongering, when that self-important ass Anthony Fauci first began to spew his BS, too many were weak and compliant.
As soon as people followed the first set of “guidelines”, those power-happy bastards got big giant boners, and were never going to stop dreaming up new hoops for us to jump through.
I hope enough people learned a lesson - the state is loaded with people who love to mind other people’s business.
In this country, they hate things like the Constitution that limit their power, so they exploit anything they can call a “crisis” to justify overriding our rights. But the same thing happens in other nations too.
It’s part of human nature - there is a certain percentage of us who want to run other people’s lives - they can’t mind their own business.
I remember there were always kids down the street, or classmates, who wanted to be in charge - as early as kindergarten! Well, they grew up - now we call them Democrats or RINOs, and they are all around us.
They run for class President, then they get on school boards, town council, etc..
Those of us who want to mind our own business have no interest in that stuff, so we leave it to the Lefties - and these little would-be tyrants - they grow up and take over everything - and we let them.

COVID was a politicized, highly exaggerated threat from Day 1, due to false attribution, unreported easy recoveries, and a junk test for it.

Have you taken an antibody test? You may find out that you’ve actually been infected but had no idea other than a few coughs or sneezes. That’s what happened to me. I have no idea who or where I got it from. I’m presuming it was the Omicron version since it was barely noticed. (I have allergies year round to one thing or another, so that’s my norm.)
No, but I’ve been well secluded so the odds are pretty low I’ve been exposed.
And the last time I was sick was Feb 2020.
You may not have been exposed yet, as you say, but it was certainly a surprise when I found out that I had been “recently infected” in late January. Glad you are well, and are comfortable but honestly, I will say, the masks do next to nothing against an aerosol virus. They never have. It’s a feel good thing that if it makes you more comfortable, go for it. Wearing one gives me headaches and a runny nose, so I’ve worn them as little as possible. To each his own, though. I dissagree with you on masks.
The virus usually travels on moisture particles, and the masks block some of those particles. It’s not 100% protection. But the amount of the innoculum (initial dose) is highly correlated to the severity of the disease.
If masks only block 50% they are helping. If they only block 25% they are still helping.
And almost all of the nations premier medical institutes recommended masks.
The masks are helping about 3%. This virus is an aerosol more than it is on the moisture particles. I’m not here to get in a fight with you, but you have been mislead about their effectiveness. Please look to see the data on masked vs unmasked populations. There is almost no difference between the two populations. The curves of infection are almost identical. Even the N-95 masks will only block 95% of 3 micron particles. This virus is about 0.7 microns. So every particle that isn’t caught up on a moisture particle is getting through. Only the ones on your spittle aren’t making it, but that’s not most of them.
As I said before, feel free to wear your mask if it makes you feel safer. And I do wish you all the best. I have family that still wear their masks. I can’t talk them out of it either, but I am not wearing one.
