It came about because communists want to murder babies and they used a drug addict to help them.

The only thing protecting it was their incessant threats and Stare De Crisis - “let the decision stand”- meaning the court's hesitancy to overturn historical precedence.

Holy cow—what terrible spelling! The proper terms are:

stare decisis (Latin); and

precedent, or precedents.

This writer is an overly ambitious generalist, but not a legal expert of any kind. Here is the Townhall bio:

Dems had their chances to codify a federal statutory right to abortion but they choose to keep the issue open so they could use it for fund-raising/get-out-the-vote.

During presidential campaign seasons you often see Dem/Progs advocating for their terrible candidates by arguing that its the SCOTUS picks that matter. So hold your nose and vote for the current Dem Manchurian Candidate.

I’m not a lawyer. I read Roe some thirty years ago and found nothing but smoke and mirrors.

Roe was “based” on the First, Fourth, Ninth, and 14th amendments. What obvious garbage.

64 millions and counting in the name of social justice.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg believed Roe should have been built upon the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment.

More social justice puffery.

The 14th had nothing to do with abortion, suffrage or segregation of the races.

Roe was always about the hubris of the judges. Three of Nixon’s appointments were in the majority. The ruling itself lacked any rational framework. It’s the kind of raw exercise of judicial fiat that Scalia rightly railed against. It now goes on the ash heap of history.
