Vance to speak at Trump rally for Oz in Pennsylvania

J.D. Vance, the newly minted Republican Senate nominee in Ohio, will speak at a rally alongside Donald Trump in Pennsylvania on Friday as the former president looks to get another one of his endorsed candidates, celebrity physician Mehmet Oz, across the finish line in that state’s GOP Senate primary.

Vance captured the Republican Senate nomination in Ohio on Tuesday, beating out a crowded primary field after scoring Trump’s endorsement late last month. His victory was seen as a win for Trump, who has sought to leverage his influence among GOP voters to get his preferred candidates elected this year.

Trump is set to face another test of his political sway on May 17, when Republican voters in Pennsylvania will head to the polls to choose their nominee to replace retiring Sen. Pat Toomey (R).

Latest poll from Franklin & Marshall has Oz (18) up 2 points over the Bushie Hedge Fund Guy McCormick (16), and up 6 points over Kathy Barnette (12). 39% are still undecided.

The primary takes place in less than two weeks.

Each one team up and lead one other over the finish line.

This is called “synergy”.

I wasn’t there, but I think we supported the Soviet Union in WW2.

Historically we have had two major wings of the Republican Party: 1) the left wing, liberal Rockefeller/Country Club/Establishment Republicans, and 2) the Conservative wing. Now it appears that we have added the Populist wing to the Party. The Populists definitely aren’t always conservative, but they will accuse the conservatives of being liberal if they don’t agree with them in lockstep.

I stand behind my principles, not behind a man. Trump can endorse whomever he wants, but I don’t have to agree with him.

Oz is a closet libtard; Trump continues his error-prone path of recommending and surrounding himself, with idiots.

I really wanted to vote for Kathy Barnette, who is the only real MAGA candidate in the race.

But if it’s this still this close between Oz and McCormick, and she is still trailing come Election Day, I might have to vote for Oz.

I’m hoping she will pick up steam.

JD Vance needs to campaign with Trump in Georgia for Perdue and Jody Hice and all the other Trump-endorsed challengers, especially now that 2000 Mules is showing.

I do not believe the polls showing Traitor Kemp 18 points ahead of Perdue. The same polls showed JD Vance was in a 3-way tie with Mandal and Dolan the night before the election, and Vance beat second place Mandal by 6 points. These leftist polls are designed to convince grass roots voters that the establishment candidate is inevitable and the Trump-endorsed challenger hasn't got a chance.

I would expect quite a few people from Ohio will make it over to tomorrow's Trump rally in my county, as we are 75 miles from the Ohio line.

I'd love to go, but the Mrs. can't make it more than an hour without a nature call, so we will have to watch it on TV. The Dr. Oz photo of him voting in a Turkish election four years ago isn't going to help him.

Plus the Bushie Hedge Fund guy McCormick had workers canvassing our neighborhood this afternoon with slick literature selling him as a second amendment MAGA guy.

I’m in Pennsylvania and I welcome Oz. Because I think he can actually win in the general, unlike the Bushie Hedge Fund guy.

I like Barnette. If she wins the primary I’ll be fully for her. Same with Bushie Guy. But I can’t see Bushie Guy McCormick beating Fetterman.

I’m voting for Oz in the primary. Far from perfect, but we need the seat and I think he’s the best chance to get it.

Bushie McCormick is working hard, no doubt about that. He has a lot of surrogates, including in the new media sphere.

I’ll back him if he wins the primary, but I don’t think there is a “there” there with him. He seems like another RINO con man of the Bush/Romney ilk.

Oz is what he is. Plenty of flaws, but no pretension.

I see Fetterman crushing McCormick in the general. We just can’t have that. We need the seat.

Oz can win support in the Philly Burbs (his base area) with his years on TV and the whole Oprah aura.

I wish Parnell had not dropped out. He was the guy, but now it’s about making the best of a relatively-weak field.

Sadly, I think Perdue is toast in Georgia. I hope I’m wrong on that.

Whatever happens, the GOP must support the GA nominee against Abrams. She has to lose, no matter who is going against her.

If she wins that state, kiss it goodbye in 2024 for the presidential race. That’s my feeling.

Parnell had no choice. The marital difficulties doomed him from the start. Oz will be less flawed than Specter and snarlin’ Arlen did, at least, give us Clarence Thomas.

I think/hope that tide may be turning….with Kemp kissing the Bush ring, and stumbling on the abortion issue.

Mike Pence is working with Kemp, also…will provide a Pencee COS.

Spit!

I recall the rule that you support the candidate that has the most chance of winning in the general election.

I believe it is OZ in a very tough state for Republicans to win out.

Same in GA. Kemp is a jerk, who I believe will get beat by anyone the Dems put up.

I pray for Purdue.

Sad, although President Trump knows what he’s doing.

Kathy Barnette could be an incredible voice for the Republican party. Did anyone see her response to the SCOTUS leak? She was the CHILD of a rape (her mom was 11 when impregnated). Articulate, young, female and Black and seemingly sane.

Not my state, but is she just too new and young? 6 points? the President’s endorsement could easily swing that.....
