The increase in aid would be a “substantial step” compared with what Israel has already provided, and would be more symbolic and “not include substantial quantities of supplies” because of the aid already provided by the US and European countries, the report said.
As part of Israel’s aid to Ukraine, Jerusalem also set up a field hospital in Lviv, and donated several armored, four-wheel-drive ambulances from Magen David Adom.
Ties were strained after Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Hitler was Jewish.
“When they say, ‘What sort of denazification is this if we are Jews,’ well I think that Hitler also had Jewish origins, so it means nothing,” Lavrov said in an interview with Italy’s Rete 4 on Sunday. “For a long time now, we’ve been hearing the wise Jewish people say that the biggest antisemites are the Jews themselves.”
Israeli officials expressed outrage at the comments, and Foreign Minister Yair Lapid said they were “unforgivable and outrageous.”
“Jews did not murder themselves in the Holocaust,” Lapid said. “The lowest level of racism against Jews is to accuse Jews themselves of antisemitism.”

The idiot Lavrov made this happen with his Jewish Hitler shtick.
It's because of how they and the US view their 'allies'.
In the West, we are allies because we share similar goals. We want freedom of trade and travel and no one really wants to attack anyone as all serious border concerns have long been negotiated to a point where the borders were codified. UK and France or other countries are not going to risk a firefight over fishing rights.
In the East, which Russia is part of along with China. They see other states as 'client states', that are subservient to the greater power. They also believe that is how the US treats it's allies as client states. So those states feel that the reason why other Nations are allied with the US is due to how much we threaten them.
Net result, both nations whenever they feel another nation is slipping away from them, they turn to threats. When the threats don't work they result to bigger threats because the only reason they could be turning to the US is how much of a threat the US is to them.
Lavrov got his Instructions from the Dear Leader.

Wow, that is certainly going to upset the Israelis. You mean this is the first time they have heard this? I remember hearing that Hitler had a Jewish ancestor somewhere between 40 and 60 years ago. This was in the eastern US in commonly available public media. I think they said it was a grandmother, and he acted so anti-semitic to erase this from his history. Hitler is a great example of self destructive, self hatred masked by megalomania and a will to power. Very old news, and so what?
