Getting us into a hot war with Russia would be far bigger disaster than Vietnam and the Iraq war combined with devastating political consequences. Endorsing a sanction war that increases inflation and energy prices is also political suicide. And, Republicans will be blamed for all that, just like Nixon was during the Vietnam era, if neocons remain in control of the GOP.
Thank God at least one guy with a real voice on our side gets it now, Tucker sees it.

Yea ... so would the various people calling FReepers “Putin lovers” etc. give it a break please? Nobody likes Putin — to be against the goals of the MSM, Democrats, WEF, etc. is not to cuddle up to Mr. KGB.
On the other hand I don’t think anyone believes the RT and other pro-Russian prop either, which doesn’t make those people WEF stooges for not believing Putin-ganda.
In an ideal world FReepers would put their heads together and suss out what is really going on over there, which is definitely not one side or another’s highly exaggerated claims.
For my own part I am against Putin himself, Zelenskiy, WEF, Dems, pro-Soviet Russians, pro-Nazi Ukrainians ... OK that pretty much makes up all the combatants. So that leaves me ‘for’ Russian ordinary people, Ukrainian ordinary people, and the US being more interested in immediate US interests like our own border.

I have no problem with FReepers here opposing anything that could drag the US in a war with Russia. That is an age-old American tradition of non-intervention and I even respect those who say we should not be in NATO or other entangling alliances. What annoys me are the FReepers who are openly rooting for Putin and the Russians to destroy Ukraine, citing conspiracy theories about Nazis and child traffickers and all sorts of wild accusations.
Given the wanton destruction and brutality of the Russian armed forces in this conflict, anyone who spouts Russian propaganda is on the side of evil here.
Fox News has gone all in on Putin bad, Ukraine good. It was a relief when Tucker spoke up!

I'm seeing longtime Freepers being accused of being either. The whole thing is beyond ridiculous. My opinion remains the same as it pertains to russia/ukraine - give pooter and zelcheney a knife each for a cage-match, and drop the cage into the ocean once they're locked in.
