MEYERSDALE, Pa. (WTAJ) —The Maple Festival in Meyersdale is celebrating its 75th anniversary. Dr. Mehmet Oz made the trip out and said a tradition like the Maple Festival in a small town shows why those types of communities are so important.
“Folks are actually experiencing life and sometimes the difficult part of life that happens when you’ve been waiting in line for your turn and the federal government comes in and pushes you out of the way for reasons you don’t understand,” said Oz. “So sometimes parts of Pennsylvania seem forgotten and I want to make sure they’re not forgotten. They matter and in fact their values are the ones I wanna reflect in Washington as the next Senator for Pennsylvania.”

I live in Pennsylvania and there is no chance that hedge fund/Bushie McCormick is going to beat Democrat nominee-to-be John Fetterman. Fetterman has the charisma and narrative (background story) edge.
Dr Oz is far from perfect. But, he is charismatic and is in the right spot on issues today.
The bottom line is that Oz has a chance to win and McCormick does not. Also, Oz will be loyal to Trump and McCormick is not trustworthy in that regard, in my opinion.
McCormick is married to former Trump White House employee (and another Bushie) Dina Powell. Powell was a suspect in White House leaks that smeared Trump. More information here:
I will be voting for Dr Oz in a couple of weeks. McCormick isn't going to win, and he could well be a Judas even if he did win.
Romney is charismatic,too.
Welcome to Free Republic.
Romney is not charismatic. He’s wooden as hell.
Look, I just want to win. Fetterman is going to be hard to beat. The guy is like 6’ 7” and looks like a typical hard-scrabble Pennsylvanian. He comes from wealth, too, but he has a totally different feel than does the no-charisma McCormick.
If McCormick wins the primary, I’ll vote for him in the general. But I’m telling you, Fetterman plays well here. He’ll run over sent-jobs-to-china McCormick. It just won’t work, in the election, for McCormick or the GOP.
I could never vote for Oz, even with Trump’s endorsement. In my opinion he’s a poser. I’m thinking of voting for Barnette.

Thanks! Happy to be here.
I’ve read the site for many, many years. I just never commented or posted until like a week ago.
Barnette is pretty good, I agree. She could possibly win the primary if Oz and McCormick beat each other up enough.
I would be great with her as the nominee. Even though Oz has more name ID and, I think, can win some women and some people in the Philly burbs.
Kathy is good people. I thought she handled herself well in the recent debate.
He approves of children getting transition surgery, and who speaks with he dead, and who is a Muslim, who supports abortion, likes gin control and loves red flag laws, and supports blm, and he is the best we can do? And we need to support him?
That’s who I would be voting for if I lived In PA.
I see that the link in my first post does not work. Sorry about that. Here is the URL:
[[ But, he is charismatic and is in the right spot on issues today]]
Um no he isn’t, and if he is the best candidate we have, then heaven help us
I’ve been to the Meyersdale Buckwheat Pancake breakfast—— they serve lots of sausage..... wonder if Oz was frying sausage?
If you are a true conservative, you must vote for Kathy Barnette.
If we do not support conservatives in the primary, they will stop running for office, like in New York and New Jersey.
Kathy Barnette can beat Fetterman statewide. She is female, she is black and she is a fighter. She will take Fetterman out far more easily than liberal Oz or Jeb Bush supporting McCormick.
Trump lost my support with his endorsement of Oz. Trump has made too many bad endorsements and staff picks to be my favorite anymore. I hope DeSantis runs and I will support him fully in the primary.
As I said, Oz is far from perfect. The calculation here — and I’m sure part of the calculation Trump made in endorsing him — is that it’s going to be hard to beat Fetterman. Very hard.
I have no faith in McCormick to beat Fetterman. It’s just not going to happen, even in a red wave year.
Barnette could do it, possibly. Maybe. But she’s going against a sitting Lt Governor and she lost by around 20 points in 2018 while running for the House (to be fair, probably not the best district for her to run in, or the best timing).
If Kathy wins the primary I’ll support her 100%.
We really need to win this seat. Oz gives us a chance, probably a better chance than the other people. Why? Because his past milquetoast stuff can work in the general, even if it’s not great to think about now.
“Kathy Barnette can beat Fetterman statewide”
I hope you’re right. And I think you are, in a red wave year.
We’ll see where the polls are in a few weeks. If Kathy looks like she has a real shot to win the primary, maybe I’ll change my mind.
The key is NO MCCORMICK. That’s my position. If Kathy is the nominee, all good. Even though I’m not sure she’d be as strong as Oz in a general.
I agree with you, she probably can win.

Welcome to FreeRepublic.
Kathy Barnette is a true blue conservative and I will be voting for her and not the carpet bagger RINO 0z.
Thanks!
I respect your opinion and, again, am totally supportive of Kathy Barnette. Really liked what I heard from her at the debate.
Are pseudo-muzzies allowed to touch/cook pork products?
Is it a coincidence that you show up on FR right before the election or are you being paid by the Oz campaign?
You left out he resembles Quasimodo.
