The others are pretty ok with Peaches being around. He more or less ignores them when they come for petting. Ginger, on the other hand, is jealous and fussy. LOL! It was very pleasant sitting out there. It was in the low 80s with a nice cool breeze. Our humidity is at about 10%, so the breeze was lovely.

I know what you mean about the “wellness check”. That’s more or less what I do, and I want to get back to going once a year. I had to up the game this year because of low [or high, can’t remember now] thyroid and he was wanting to check to see if the little pill he gave me is working. It seems to be so far. I’m rarely ever sick. Covid was the exception. It’s good that you’ll have AC tomorrow since it’s gonna be muggy. Not fun in a non-AC vehicle.

Riht now she seems sick. I will bring her to the vet tomorrow.

She was fine until this afternoon when she wouldn’t eat anything and became very listless and depressed. I’ve been up most the night with her.

I don’t know if it is adjusting to her new location or maybe she ate something outside.
Please say a prayer for me and her!

Oh, goodness, I do pray that sweet little girl will be ok by morning. It’s hard when they feel so bad and can’t tell us what’s hurting or bothering them. Just cuddle her and love on her...but I don’t have to tell YOU that.

I hope morning brings a wagging tale and a smile on her face.

Ginger sounds like our Jasper. HE’S the only one worthy of attention and he’ll let everyone know it. LOL He’s such a jerk at times but he’s a clown and has a lot of personality and we can’t help but love him.

It’s a little cool here to think about sitting outside but it feels good if outside briefly. Sweater weather.

Probably good to keep tabs on the thyroid med. You never know when the dosage will need to be changed.

It’ll be very good to have AC tomorrow. I was so lucky over the weekend. It wasn’t real hot and it was cloudy so driving the truck to and from the museum wasn’t misery.

And now I can move the other two plants out of the garage tomorrow. I just finished snipping off the dead leaves so they won’t look so ratty. They’re strange looing plants as it is.

I’m glad those strange looking plants have pretty blossoms or you might not have tried so hard to keep them alive. LOL! What are they, or do you even know? Sometimes I like something but have no clue of a name. :)

Ginger! Sooo many times she picks at Peaches till he fights back, and then she tries to sound like she’s dying and pitiful. We see right through it, but Peaches keeps going back for more. LOL

They're night-blooming cereus. Mom got one from a friend and when she died, I kept it. It's 30 years old now. The younger one, I started from cuttings from the first one. This pic is one I found on the 'net since I don't have any handy of mine.

The strange bulbous things on the bottom are buds. They bloom at night and the blossoms only last that one night. They have a nice citrusy fragrance.

When Jasper showed up two years ago, he was a total a**. I almost took him off to dump him somewhere else because he kept starting big fights with the others. When he viciously attacked Chloe, I did beat him and unceremoniously toss him out the door and ignored him for a few days. No food or water, hoping he'd leave. But he didn't and I gave him a second chance. He cooled his jets somewhat and life is fairly peaceful. He and Chloe have a love/hate relationship and I laugh at them when they interact. He stalks her or she stalks him, and every time Chloe reaches out and gives him a little "boop" on the nose. He sits down and looks pitiful. LOL Cats can be entertaining.

That is a very interesting plant. I have heard the name, but this is the first picture I’ve seen of one. Can’t believe it’s lasted for 30 years. Kind of like my pitiful old cactus.

I’m glad Jasper was smart enough to learn a lesson from his punishment. Ginger just gets all huffy and hissy. Sometimes, I just let them fight it out since I know who started it. She’s never gotten a scratch on her, but you’d think she was near death’s door to hear her screech. LOL!

I think I’ll finish up the show I’m watching and head out. See ya tomorrow. Have “fun” going to the doctor. Go by and get you a yummy ice cream after it’s over. :)

They’re a different plant, that’s for sure. LOL Big too. And heavy even when the soil’s dry. The stems turn woody after a while and wood’s heavy. I have no idea how long they live, which is why I started the second one.

When Jasper fought he fought for real, even with Chloe. He’s lucky I didn’t kill him because I won’t have anyone beating up the girlies. He did learn his lesson and is a wonderful addition to the “herd”.

IF I get put of the dr.’s office soon enough, stopping for ice cream sounds like a good idea. But they have a bad habit of overbooking and I’m usually stuck there a long time. I did tell them I would walk out if I was still in the waiting room after an hour - - that I’m through playing that game. We’ll see if it works and gets me in and out in a reasonable time for a change.

Catch ya tomorrow.

Thank you for that! She is much better this morning. She actually ate a little food. During our walk she wagged her tail and wanted to chase every squirrel and bunny in the neighborhood. The adoption becomes official tomorrow.

I guess our pet buddies have down days, too. I’m glad she’s feeling better today. A nice long walk is good therapy! For both of you. :)
