Yes, Peaches is might handsome. And I’m partial to the orange guys.

How are things with you these days, Allegra? Have you dealt with any of the storms rumbling through TX tonight?

Hanging in there. How are things with you?

No bumpy weather in my area last night. The storms have been very isolated lately. We have a chance for storms again this afternoon.

How about your neck of the woods? Looks like you had some storms a couple/few days ago?

As I recall (it’s been a day or three. lol) Finbar was an orange feller. And a handsome one. :-)

I’m hangin’ in there too. Life is good again after a long, boring winter. The military museum close by is open again and it’s great to be back in the swing of things there again.
And it’s nice having winter out of here at long last.

Good to hear you missed out on the ruckus last night. At least this isn’t as potent a system as too many others have been this spring.

Most of the severe storms have fizzled out by the time they reach our end of the state. We didn’t get a drop here the other day and it looks like we might miss out on this one when it comes through overnight.

More coming through this week so we both still have a chance for some “fun”. LOL

You’re later than usual today. LOL

Not quite as hot here as it is there today but it’s a steamy hot. Glad I don’t need to go anywhere.
Hubby just came in from working on my car. Had to cool off for a little while. He’ll finish up tonight after it cools down again.

Yeah...I slept in this morning. Then started chasing rabbits on the internet before settling down to post.

It’s going to be “moderately” hot till Friday and then it goes to 97, 101 and probably as bad next week. Can we just skip to early fall for 3 months? LOL!

Glad your hubby is working on your car. Hope he gets it finished soon. I also hope the AC works well. I was looking at the Live Storm Chasing page, and it looks like you have some storms headed sort of your direction. Hope they don’t get bad.

Lucky you, getting to sleep in. I’ve been waking up at least an hour before the alarm was set to go off, including over the weekend. Either sinuses draining or my back screaming. I’ve been in a fog for days. LOL

Ugh, too hot. But that’s desert life. Better hope the humidity you felt last night is gone asap!

We might get a storm or two from what’s going on in MS and AL or they might miss us. As of early this morning, they were saying the bulk of the big stuff west of us will pass just north of us but that could have changed by now. I’ll find out during the evening news in a bit. We could use a little rain for the corn.

Hope it misses you, except maybe for a nice cooling rain.

That waking up early when you don’t have to is the pits, isn’t it! It can just ruin a day! LOL!

See ya later. It’s naptime. 😴

It’s missing us but it’s making matters worse. I’d prefer to have a storm run over us to cool things off. As it is, it’s gotten more humid the past couple of hours and there’s no breeze. Stifling out there.

It does hurt to wake up early when it isn’t necessary. Hurts even more when you do have to get up early and wake up an hour before the alarm is set to go off. LOL

Enjoy your nap.

“Seminole Scouts stationed in Fort Clark near Brackettville ca 1875. They were known to be both fearless and excellent trackers. The two men with medals over their heads, Isaac Payne (L) & John Ward (R) received the Congressional Medal of Honor after an 1875 battle with Apaches”….Traces Of Texas

Thought this would be interesting since we’re honoring a Medal of Honor winner.

Indeed on a hot humid day, a nice thunderstorm can be very refreshing. Hope if you get them, they aren’t violent.

We got lucky and had a brief, heavy shower around 6:00 that cooled things off nicely. I’m sure Hubby appreciated it since he didn’t stay inside very long earlier. He’s trying to get my car running so I can use it tomorrow. I have a dr. appointment for the annual “wellness check” and the tiny parking lot will NOT accommodate that big truck. If I’m stuck driving it, it’ll mean parking a block or so away and walking to the clinic. Not amusing.

Yes, fuzzy Finbar was an orange guy. And what a character he was.

I’m glad winter finally left your area. I’m hoping we can hang on to spring a little longer here before summer drops its thick blanket upon us.

Yes, we both have more chances for “fun” later this week. Here’s hoping they’re just nice and quenching without being too bumpy.

Yay! My memory still works once in a while. LOL You posted about Finbar quite a bit and included pics occasionally. He sounded like a cool kitteh.

It WOULD be nice if y’all could enjoy a little spring this year. Summer seems to be in a rush down there.

Oh, I’m happy you got a cooling shower...and am so jealous. It’s not bad here right now, though, so I am sitting at the table on the patio at least till I have to plug the laptop in to its power source.

I hope he can get the car running. Having to walk to a doctor’s office really isn’t amusing. At all! LOL!

A tenth of an inch of rain and a 10 degree temperature drop in about 10 minutes. No complaints! Hubby really appreciated it. Hot work in the garage.

He just came in and said he thinks the car’s going to be ok. He took it for a long test drive and is going out for one more to be sure. I hope it is ready to go because it’s probably going to be raining tomorrow afternoon around the time of the appointment. At least the rain shouldn’t be here when I head out to vote.

Glad to hear it’s nice enough there to be able to sit outside for a bit. Are any of the kitties hanging out with you?

The 10-degree temp drop is the best part. Glad he was able to get the car ready to roll. It’ll be nice to be in your own ride again. Hope the dr’s visit goes well!

I just came in. Ginger and Peaches were both out there and I saw Shadow on the sidelines. No one wants to get close to Ginger. She is crabby. LOL! She was really talking to me. I don’t think she thought I should be out there at night. *gasp* :)

The temp drop plus the nice breeze helped Hubby a lot. He had to be melting out there.

It’ll be great to have the car back again. Its AC works, where the truck’s doesn’t. It’s going to be another hot, muggy day tomorrow.

I’m just going in for a “wellness check” and it’s a joke. I’d prefer to pass on it but it’s the only way to stay on his patient list. It’s the only time I go in since I don’t get sick.

It’s kind of a shame Ginger and Peaches were out there with you. They get to see you a lot since they spend time in the house. The other kitties don’t and they had to stay back. :-(
