HOUSE Here are the 10 Republicans who voted ‘no’ on the Ukraine lend-lease bill BY MYCHAEL SCHNELL - 04/28/22 7:21 PM ET SHARE TWEET ... MORE

Ten House Republicans voted against a bill on Thursday that seeks to create a lend-lease program that would make it easier for the U.S. to send military aid to Ukraine amid Russia’s invasion.

The legislation, titled the Ukraine Democracy Defense Lend-Lease Act, passed the House in a 417-10 vote. Three Republicans did not vote on the measure.

The bill now heads to President Biden’s desk after the Senate passed the bill by voice vote earlier this month. The legislation looks to give Biden increased authority to enter the U.S. into lend and lease agreements directly with Ukraine, which would allow Washington to provide Kyiv with defense articles to protect its population as Russia’s invasion continues

...our NATO allies should be compensating us for the cost of the weapons, we are sending the Ukraine...I am sick of their free riding, especially Germany. No blank check to Biden for the nature of the weapons he sends.

Bingo! We have a winner on aisle #30!

I do not support placing U.S. troops in the middle of a shootout between two cartels, however:
BJ Clinton concluded a 1994 agreement whereunder Ukraine would forfeit its nuclear weapons in return for U.S. security "assurances"; i.e. the U.S. drew a line in the sand and should not now walk away from it.

Even though the NATO allies were not party to the deal they benefitted greatly and should be reminded they have very real skin in the game. Germany argues the Memorandum is legally unenforceable; it should be reminded it is politically enforceable and the U.S. has its name on the deal.

Before we dismiss good R politicians, however, let's ask them what they see in the Biden package that renders it unacceptable.

Its 1941 and back then Japan got pushed into attacking Pearl Harbor by FDR.

We needed to get into World War II to deal with Hitler but FDR used the back door of pushing Japan to do something since they had the military alliance with Germany.

What does Joe want to push Vlad into doing and do we really need to be pushing pushing pushing this time is it really 1941 Hitler running over Europe?

Best info we have indicates Russia is pretty poor in power based on the performance of their forces in Ukraine.

The problem is that Putin’s last option is nuclear.

Does Joe like the mushroom cloud?

Does Joe get his kicks thinking about the little girl in this TV ad from Lyndon Johnson’s campaign?

It is actually not too much!
Poland is contributing 22% of the national budget to the Ukrainian war - both in supplies to Ukraine and support of millions of refugees.
Baltic states and Czech republic are also contributing similar amounts.
That would be somewhere around trillion dollars in the USA.

“passed the House in a 417-10 vote”

The nation is doomed.

There is no recovery now.

I hear that the UK paid us back a few years ago. Don’t know about the USSR/Russia though.

As long as McCarthy is allowed to remain as his party’s leader in the House nothing will change. Republicans seem to have an aversion to real leadership. It really is a pathetic excuse for a political party.

Scott has been my rep since he was a state rep. I’m in the heart of his district and very glad for it. So many Republicans are worthless shills. He will personally call constituents.
