Here is question that I always ask. How much does the taxpayer have to pay continually to combat price gouging? I mean, there was a story about some state that was coming down on hardware stores selling generators at double price after a hurricane (or something). So, people who had not prepared and bought a generator in the months and years before the natural disaster were facing “price gouging” and the state was bringing the full force of its power against the retailers. But what was the continual cost of this protection? The people tasked in the consumer protection agency and the attorney general’s office - the myriad of bureaucrats and regulators - how much did THAT cost? So a few people get spared paying an extra $500 on a generator. But, the cost of these “watchdogs” has to be paid by someone. When can we say that government is “gouging” you?
The democrat solution: blame others and censor those who blame the democrats.
Instead of offering good and real solutions to the problems, democrats always come up with ideas which make the problems worse.
Republicans will point out how closing off pipelines and drilling has put Americans at risk and enriched Iran and Venezuela! Republicans need to get ahead of this NOW!
