You are trying to apply logic to an entire group of people who have found out they can “win” without it.
They will continue to “win” until we stand up and stop them. We will not “win” by continuing to “play by the rules” that the other side eschews.

They are still clearing the plate. Once anything even remotely “Constitutional” or “conservative” has been properly marginalized...

With the last two Presidential impeachment’s in the rear view mirror isn’t there some mechanisms to stop frivolous actions like these ?
The Democrat Socialists are totally lacking in ANY self-awareness. The rules they try to apply to only persons of more conservative or libertarian, are equally applicable to their own ranks. Maybe, if framed in such way as could be applied to any of THEIR membership, they would see the complete irrelevance of what they are trying to assert as “misconduct”.
But don’t count on it.

Elect a 2/3 CONSERVATIVE majority of the Senate. A simple majority would be enuff for the House.
OK...not surprising. So he’s impeached.He’ll never be convicted. Justice Thomas is more than strong enough...more than wise enough...to understand that it’s just The Squad,led by America’s most successful barmaid,getting their thrills.

The Republicans are too terrified to acknowledge this fact about their friends.
Completely pointless. If Congress decides it can invent a “code of ethics” for the Supreme Court, then the Supreme Court will certainly overrule them on separation of powers grounds and strike the law down. And if they didn’t have the votes to impeach Trump, they certainly don’t have the votes to impeach Thomas.
Want to bet on that?
If there was some miracle and we got House and Senate in 2022 they should impeach 7 Justices.
Fewer than helped with the Trump impeachment. Thomas may be a “staunch conservative” but he is still 100% a conservative, not a populist, so there will be some who felt comfortable turning against Trump who won’t be able to justify turning on Thomas.
Yes, but also consider that the Supremes will all know that Thomas is being impeached for political reasons and wonder if they are next on the chopping block. I can’t think of a better way to unite the court to stand up against Congressional overreach than this.
Better to die on your feet, than live on your knees.
