I despise the institution of independent prosecutor, or “special counsel” as the current iteration is known in federal regulation. I am thus sympathetic to Attorney General Merrick Garland’s insistence, in Senate testimony on Tuesday, that the Biden investigation — which the administration disingenuously minimizes as if it implicated only the president’s son, Hunter — is in the capable hands of the Biden Justice Department, with no need to appoint a special counsel.

Seems that Andy is under the false impression that some sort of action would happen under a special counsel. I believe there is enough material for just about anyone to act special counsel or not. But, like with the clintoon cabal, the DOH-j will be snoozing. “No amount of evidence will ever persuade an idiot!” Mark Twain.
I always refer to him as: ‘the embittered AG”. The man has a giant burr up his rectum because he did not get the SCOTUS position he wanted.
No one is going to jail.
The previous “Special Counsel’s” investigation that took years to find nothing, but couldn’t figure out that the whole thing was fabricated by the Hillary/DNC campaign. Unlike that affair, Garland can’t afford to appoint a Special Counsel, because even a incompetent, partisan prosecutor (Mueller?) would be forced to find indictable criminal activity on the part of Hunter and “The Big Guy.”
