Remember, if the food supply runs out that means the fuel is gone too.
Getting to food rich locations is a huge problem without transportation.
Suburban areas, yes, everyone will be hunting and stealing and looting.
Very rural locations will be safe and left alone.

On average, 12 freakin’ feet of snow a year here.
