Hey there, Janey...((HUGS))...any parachuting plane driving in your down time? Getting closer to your new gig?

Ugh. That sounds sooooo hot. But 93 there is different than 93 here. Still better than triple digit temps and though you don’t care for wind, it helps.

We got up to 73 or so here and it was windy. Upper 70s tomorrow, then 80s through the weekend.

Pollen is still thick here and we wish the trees would finish! We do have a nice break coming this summer. I checked the front field this afternoon and there’s itty bitty CORN coming up! No cotton pollen all summer long this year!

My yards are almost snowless! Hurrah!

The lawn guys will be coming for spring cleanup sometime next week.

Oh, that’s excellent news! No cotton crap to mess up the entire summer season...into fall. Corn has its own issues, but most of it is at harvest time with all the dust stirred up.

It is hot, but compared to what it WILL be, it’s pretty moderate. LOL! Our low 90s compare to your 80s with your humidity.

Nice looking out the windows and not seeing snow and ice, isn’t it? Y’all had a very early winter.
I imagine the ducks are happy to be able to find some open water to fish in again.

We’ll be sneezing for a couple of weeks when the corn tassels and pollinates, then that’s it until dusty harvest time. We can live with that MUCH easier. LOL Plus corn doesn’t get sprayed every week like cotton does. It just does its thing and looks beautiful all summer.

Just too hot too early down there. We’ve had some hot days but have had chilly ones too. Our 80s this weekend will be muggy because rain is in the forecast starting Friday through into next week.

Yes, and I recall, those lovely tall corn stalks give you some privacy during most of the year. That’s a win, for sure!

Yep, from the road the house can’t be seen once the corn reaches height. And it buffers the sound of trains going by. With the tracks so close, that’s a nice benefit. Right now, when they travel north, it sounds like they’re going to run right through the house. LOL

We have trains about 1 1/2 miles from our house, and I can only imagine how much louder they’d be as close as they are to you.

Actually I can imagine. When we moved to Georgia, we stayed in a motel for one night that had the train tracks right behind it. Got zero sleep. LOL! I had almost forgotten about that.

You’ll enjoy the buffer the corn creates. I’m sure the 2 weeks of tassels trumps a summer of cotton.

Yeah, these tracks are only a couple tenths of a mile from the house. It’s a main north-south rail artery and is a busy one. We’re used to the noise and pretty much tune it out. Once in a while a really heavy train comes through and those are hard to ignore. They make the house shake.

Two weeks of tassels DEFINITELY trumps a summer of cotton! LOL

Wow. I just looked at the temp for your area and it’s now in the high 40s for you. That’s quite chilly. A bit more than either one of us would want at this time of the year I expect! Makes for good sleeping though. :)

Yes, another chilly night here but low temps will improve after this. They’ll be in the 60s by the weekend.

We keep the house the same temperature year ‘round so outside temps make no difference as far as sleeping weather. The old house was a different story with its lack of insulation.

You’re so lucky to have gotten to move into that house. I can’t even think about how uncomfortable that other one must have been most of the time.

I think I’ll head out soon. I’m getting a headache. I think it’s from all the allergens that I’ve breathed today. Sinuses overloaded. LOL!

See ya tomorrow...oh, wait! Guess I’ll see ya Saturday! Have fun at the museum this weekend!

A very pleasant good Thursday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country.

How's everyone doing this morning?

We’re fortunate the house was built here for Aunt Martha after her husband passed. I just wish we’d moved sooner. It was a looooong 20 years in the old house.

I hope your headache is gone when you wake up in the morning. Sinus headaches are no fun. I had one all day and night Monday. I love spring but it doesn’t love me. LOL

Maybe the wind will die down so you won’t have it blowing so much “ick” around.

Catch ya Saturday.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

How was your outing with Gizmo yesterday? Did you have another gorgeous day to roam around in?
