has estimated it will only be able to deliver about 5% of its usual allocation this year.

Wait what? They have a NINETY-FIVE PERCENT reduction in water? That's an incredible amount of water to suddenly not have!

If they shipped illegal aliens back over the border, would this help alleviate pressure on water usage? There’s got to at least 20-30 illegals living in Kalifornia.

People here love to beat the illegal alien dead horse but all of urban water use is only 10% of total water use in California half that is industrial and commercial use so residential is only 5% of total use even if fully half of California resident’s were illegals that’s only 2.5% of total water use not enough to make a difference. The largest use is agricultural. California grows crops in the desert that never should be grown in a desert. Rice for one, alfalfa hay is another alfalfa takes five feet of water per square foot to grow in that desert climate it’s by far the largest single use of water in California fully five million acre feet of water per year. That’s enough water for over 100 million people dumped on grass to feed cows in Saudi Arabia who are the largest consumers of California alfalfa. It’s a straw man to to blame illegals not that they don’t cause other problems and costs it just a fact that even deporting every last one would only save a tiny fraction of California’s water.

All joking aside... it would relieve some pressure, but it’s just putting off the inevitable. They need desalination or they need to build more dams/water reservoirs. CA just doesn’t have the existing water infrastructure it needs.
