As consumers dump their Netflix subscriptions in droves, the far-left streamer is reportedly taking an ax to its animation department, cutting programming and firing employees in the latest sign that the company’s days of carefree spending are over.
Netflix laid off its director of creative leadership and development for original animation, Phil Rynda, along with some of his staff, according to a report from The Wrap. The streamer has also pulled the plug on existing and in-development shows.
Some Netflix animation employees have also accused the streamer of using manipulated data to justify the cancellations.
Planned animated series based on Jeff Smith’s popular comic book series Bone and Roald Dahl’s novel The Twits have been cancelled. An upcoming series based on Lauren Faust’s Toil and Trouble will also not move forward.

If Netflix follows through on focusing on quality over quantity I’m all for it. Cuz right now they have a large quantity of crp.
What about all their Marvel woke crap? That’s millions of dollars of pure crap.
My sister-law’s husband did animation for Netflix (”Green Eggs and Ham”). He has gotten little work lately because all the jobs he’s offered have the homo-friendly thing going on, and he won’t take those.
Are the Harkles still on the payroll...?

There are simply tons of alternatives out there.

Heck, I’d even subscribe if you did that .
They have shortened many of their original series from 10 or 12 episodes to 6 or 8.
Some series seasons/new episodes are 2 to 3 years after the previous season. Viewers tend to lose interest.
They have canceled numerous series with cliffhangers.
They have been moving away from dumping all episodes which allows for binging to releasing new episodes on a weekly basis.
They have too many fantasy type series that are basically the same ole stories/scripts.
1. No more kiddie porn
2. Fire the people responsible for making the decision to run with kiddie porn, including Hastings if he’s still there.
3. Finance project people want to watch. Hire Taylor Hackford for a week and you’ll have a half-dozen new hit shows.
4. Lower your prices. This is a recession.
5. Stop subsidizing politicians. You hire them to give them a gig until their next swindle. Stop it. You don’t have that kind of cash anymore.
6. Apologize for the kiddie porn. Nobody’s coming back after leaving until it is clear to the market the grooming predators have left the building, and the building’s been fumigated.
There’s very little reason to keep Netflix now, other than the rare Netflix production, mostly some of their documentaries, that manages to somehow be good.
