Similar could be said for ‘blue’ cities and states. Abandoning them only gives the ‘blue’ more power.

A half-century ago, many of the now ‘red’ states were blue, but many of those were southern Democrat and relatively conservative. The Democratic party has moved further leftward.

When Obama took office, Arkansas was one of the blue ‘blue’ states. It had a Dem governor, most state office officials, 2 US senators and 3 of 4 US House representatives. When Obama left office, those were all held by Republicans. Many southern states and even some fly-over states have or are going through similar transitions.

The political pendulum swings slowly.

Actually, the real overhaul needs to happen in public education . A complete dismantling and restructuring should be at its core.

This is the social media equivalent.

I understand your comparison, but I think if you look at the details, philosophies come first before governments.
