FBI Director Christpher Wray addressed the skyrocketing rate of murders against police officers Sunday, saying the surge is far outpacing general violent crime. Wray made the comments during a "60 Minutes" interview on Sunday, saying murders of police officers rose 59% in 2021. The total murder rate rose 29% last year, and the U.S. lost 73 police officers to such attacks in 2021. "Violence against law enforcement in this country is one of the biggest phenomena that I think doesn't get enough attention," Wray said, adding that officers are being murdered at a rate of nearly "one every five days."

The democrat party is responsible. In 2020, it sponsored riots that included attacks on police stations, direct orders to allow the rioters to attack them along with chants of “defund the police.”

Federalizing local police might be their solution.

What makes the lives of police officers more valuable than any other citizen?
The focus should be on reducing murder overall, not just for “special” people.

What do you suggest to reduce "murder overall"? Do you agree with BLM that we should cut the number of police officers by “defunding the police”. If you want to do the opposite and increase the number of police, how are you hoping to attract qualified individuals while the profession is villainized and the murder rate for police officers is soaring?
Personally, after working with the police in a large blue city on a professional level daily for 25 years... I would not suggest to a young person that they should consider becoming a police officer. It is a dangerous and frustrating profession that leaves most feeling badly about themselves and society a few years down the road.

There were 21 police officers murdered as of March 31 2022. Prorating that out, we are estimated to end the year with 84 murdered in 2022 or a 15% increase over 2021.
How many of those crimes had Federal Bureau of Instigation fingerprints all over them like the “attempted kidnapping” of the Michigan governor or the January 6 Capitol Police stand down?
Wray should have fired and indicted the criminals

Let local police drag the kneeling FBI out in front of their lines and to be subject to the violence they fostered by colluding with Democrats.
Let the FBI assign agents to investigate crimes instead of wasting taxpayer money looking at garage door pulls in Bubba Smollet-Wallace's NOOSECAR garage and conspiring to kidnap governor Heil Whitmer.
