Funny thing is, all the convoy had to do is announce, when they were still in Maryland, that they were heading to California to protest some ridiculous mandate bills that were ready to be voted on in the California statehouse, to get the sponsors of those new laws in a panic to withdraw those bills. Seems they were pretty effective even before driving out there. And in DC, without blocking traffic, without preventing emergency services from passing, the truckers’ mere appearance on the beltway caused the mayor to panic and order the police to block exits and screw up traffic all by themselves, forcing bored and irritated citizens stuck in the politician-caused traffic jams to have nothing better to do than take note of the convoy and read all the signs...and costing the city in wasted man hours for police and city maint. dumptruck drivers to work as human barriers.
I will give Katie some credit- in this portion of her article she at least didn’t do the obligatory liberal thing and falsely accuse the drivers of being racists. Maybe that is in the second part of her editorial, when she was lapping the last of the soy milk from its saucer.

I filled many bottles in my trucker days. This arricle is crap.
Nonsense. Truckers who drive long distances routinely surely know how to take care of the calls of nature.
And if anything really held them up in DC, it was the authorities blocking off highway exits.
