I used to read Javier Reinoso’s tweets all the time. He is caring for 60+ cats in the Venezuelan countryside, along with his Parents. Sometimes the inflation rate there has been 600+% per month. He survives with international supporters.

There was a story years ago about a group of men there stoning a cow to death. People were starving then.
It’s crazy and completely preventable.
I’m surprised they haven’t started a war with neighbors so they could reduce the mouths to feed...
They have vast natural resources and natural beauty.
If it wasn’t a hellhole via government, people would vacation there.
