The situation in Mariupol
Vineyard of the Saker ^

Posted on 04/22/2022 9:20:52 PM PDT by ganeemead

Mariupol basically liberated, couple of thousand die-hard bandera-Nazis still holed up in the underground shelters under the Azovstal factory, Putin says not worth the life of a single Russian soldier i.e. seal it and let them starve/die of thirst, one to three weeks, big celebrations, children throwing flowers onto Russian tanks.

Gotta watch...

Use the right word... Let’s.
Children throwing flowers on the tanks sounds like liberated to me, not conquered people..yes,let’s use the right word.

Decent looking map as people get to live under the governments they prefer. Too bad we didn’t do something like that for Iraq and the areas around it.

“But after going thru your posting history, you’re no doubt a Soviet troll”

We’re ALL Soviet Trolls here, at least those of us who DO NOT wish to live under the thumb of the EU, WEF, Soros, the Media, the Deep State, and Biden.

I mean, what else could we be?

“Russians are taking extreme care not to harm civilians or civilian infrastructure.”

If that were true they’re doing a pretty crap job.

But that’s almost the complete opposite of what the Chechen commander said after declaring Mission Accomplished in Mariupol.

He said his orders from Kadyrov and Putin were to destroy Mariupol and cleanse it.

Putin went on national TV said not even a fly should be able to escape Avostal. There are unknown numbers of civilians in those tunnels; probably the wives and kids of the Putin’s March ultimatum declared all civilians choosing to stay with the Ukrainian forces to be equivalent to enemy combatants.

Given that Russian troops executed every adult male with the surname Navalny in the village that Navalny’s father was born in, just because they had the same surname, their attitude toward collective reprisals (no matter how tenuous the link) is not good.

if I were female, with kids, and I was related to an Azovstal fighter, I’d be mad to surrender them to the Chechens. The lucky ones got put on a bus to Siberia.

If the choice was Zelensky or Putin, then yes, Putin wins.

“ The ONLY reason this operation is lasting any longer than that is that Russians are taking extreme care not to harm civilians or civilian ifrastructure. That should be obvious to anybody who isn’t blind.”

It’s a bit early to be doing hard drugs.

Video of children supposedly in Azovstal Steel Plant. I notice that the kindly soldiers have Nazi affiliated patches on their uniforms. The one patch even looks more like Hitler, than Bandera.

Breadline Joe is where he is today because too many people in positions from which they should have been able to put a stop to it were too blackmailed, too intimidated, and/or too compromised to act. If there is any one thing the deep state and the demopoop party excel at, it’s getting to people...

The ONLY reason this operation is lasting any longer than that is that Russians are taking extreme care not to harm civilians or civilian ifrastructure.

That does not appear to be the case. It is true that Russian missiles could have destroyed a lot of Kyiv, Lviv and other Ukrainian C2 and supply lines. So for central and western Ukraine your statement may be somewhat true.

But in the east the civilian infrastructure is being destroyed and civilians are dying in the destruction. You might argue that's because Ukrainian defense forces have inserted themselves into civilian infrastructure. They probably have. Does that justify complete destruction?
