Very nice for home self defense.
Needs a hello kitty decal
I wonder what it’s pronouns are.
Repeat after me: 80,000 psi. With that much pressure, the suppressor isn’t optional.
It may also be more and more subject to the chaos theory more advanced system the more prone they are to random errors.
When can I pick up an old SAW at the army surplus store? 🤪
I tried on an HK 5.56 at the gunshop for size, way too much $$$ and very heavy. These HK rifles are much heavier than their counterparts. Wonder how our new classes of snowflake warriors will handle humping all day with this beast?
So the Army is going back to the short stroke of the M14 vs the M16 gas-impingement. A lot of heads are going to explode.
Didn’t realize Sig Sauer is made-in-America in New Hampshire.
Big gun enthusiast here, hahaha. Most of mine are S&W, Mossberg, Remington and
Didn’t open the article, but received this from SIG’s mailing.
If I recall, the caliber is 6 mm?
6.8 SPC or the new high pressure 6.8?
I was thinking of the “dumping” of things over in the Ukraine and it was house cleaning time, getting rid of OTS gear and munitions thereby clearing the skids for NEXTGEN R&D, citing shortages and past contract completion as justifications for budget dollars.
Probably won’t be widely issued, but FINALLY, GAS PISTON OPERATION!
Apparently they are slated for “close combat” units. So the M-4s will remain in wide use elsewhere.
And the ammo case is steel with an O-ring and then a brass section. Yes a three piece carriage casing. And with SIG it’ll be twice as heavy as is needs to be.
The money goes to Europe and the ammo can rust. Pentagon 2022...
I thought it was an entire Special Forces division composed exclusively of trans-men.
ANY gun is only as accurate as it’s handler.
Probably a way for the weapons manufacturers to make a crap load of money. After 100s of years of killing each other the 5.56 with the 7.62 as automatic is plenty sufficient as proven.
I remember I used to have a 22 mag in bolt action. We were shooting at empty cereal boxes over those this iron “T” barbed wire fence posts.
When we were done I was surprised that several rounds had actually hit the posts and bent them deeply even with small penetration holes in the center. I guess those are 1/4 to 1/3 inch thick. A 5.56 has what… 4 times the energy of a 22 mag?
Just think of the money they will make by having the USA and most of the west rearm.
I’m gonna go build one. One that shoots around corners and through walls and stuff.
