But the US does have a major interest in preventing a resurgence of Russian aggressiveness (and the accompanying nuclear threats).
Opposition to Russia’s war is broad enough that some people will try to co-opt it to push other political agendas. That’s what we’re seeing here.
In fact, strengthening big-tech censorship helps Putin: it divides the West, it ruins our PR advantage, and it creates suspicion about what our goals are.
