You are right. But it is a false choice.
The shadow people who put Joe Biden in office are the international supervillains who provoked Vlad Putin into launching an ill-advised invasion...etc.
Clever plans often go wrong. This one is going to cost more than it was worth.

Really, even if this proposition is true, and I don’t think it is, it still doesn’t relieve Putin of one ounce of responsibility for his actions, nor does it make his actions any more moral or make supporting him the moral choice. It’s a distraction as far as I’m concerned.
The only thing it would change at all is that one might be able to say “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”, but even that logic fails, since Putin is no friend to any country in the world, not even his own.
