“The shadow people who put Joe Biden in office are the international supervillains who provoked Vlad Putin into launching an ill-advised invasion...etc.”
Really, even if this proposition is true, and I don’t think it is, it still doesn’t relieve Putin of one ounce of responsibility for his actions, nor does it make his actions any more moral or make supporting him the moral choice. It’s a distraction as far as I’m concerned.
The only thing it would change at all is that one might be able to say “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”, but even that logic fails, since Putin is no friend to any country in the world, not even his own.
We would need to acknowledge a fundamental disagreement on that last point.
The practical result is the assessment that we are in a trap where supporting the Ukraine is not in our best interests, and tolerating Russian aggression is not in our best interests. The enemy of our enemy can still be another enemy. There are no good pathways out of this.
The "Shadow People" who are our rulers are not incompetent. They are malicious. They do not have our interests at heart, and I am wary of supporting them in any project. Especially when "10% goes to the big guy".
I would like to see Russia fail in their invasion of Ukraine and withdraw. It isn't going to happen like that. Our rulers are just as crooked as their rulers, and they will reach some kind of accommodation. Probably one that involves "fighting to the last Ukrainian".
A good way to cover their tracks for all the "payoffs and the rip-offs and the things nobody saw".
War is happening because the rulers on all sides want it to happen.
