The Santa Clara County (CA) Health Department was sending out “inspectors” to enforce compliance. Our local grocery store got slammed with $15,000 of fines because their workers in their break room caught it. The funny thing is that the store adopted the most rigorous, touch standards very early — much tougher than any other store.
It’s the County people and fines that had everybody running scared. Santa Clara County was the last of all the Bay Area Counties to drop the mandate. But the health businesses are continuing with “CDC Recommendations.”
I’ll find out tomorrow what the dentist is doing. I’ve got an eye doctor appt in a couple weeks, too.
if everyone simply refused to wear the masks, there’s nothing the “authorities” could do about it ... it’s way past time for mass civil disobedience ...
had we refused to comply two years ago this would be long gone by now....

I am sure there were (and are) some people and entities keeping very careful track of every scrap of information they can collect regarding demographics and statistics of those who complied, locked down, masked up, got vaccinated, got boosted...and those who pushed back. They want to know who and what they’re up against, what kinds of people, what numbers. These last two years weren’t about public health, they were about stealing an election, setting precedents, and gathering information for a subsequent push.
I spent less than a minute masked in the waiting lobby, then unmasked in the chair for 30 to 60 minutes, then put the thing on for the 30 second walk out the front door.
Sheer lunacy.

This is also EXCATLY how the restaurants were operating. Mask on to get seated. Take off mask, eat drink. Mask on to leave. This means the virus works above 4 feet from the floor. From a previous post this morning (added the last item from P.O.F.):
