I have no idea what ANYONE was thinking with this CNN+ debacle...
I understand if you are a nobody taking a shot, in the long shot that it might work and help you advance your career... of if your career is fading and can’t get on a regular network or major market news team and hoping it will work....
But anyone else that is on air talent, well established in their career, thinking this was going to actually work????
All risk, no reward. If its successful, you’re no better off than before you got on CNN+ and odds are its not going to work....
You don’t have to wonder how people like that Thermos lady conned so many people... how anyone, let alone someone with enough actual authority to greenlight something like CNN+, believed that folks would honestly pay to watch CNN streaming in any major numbers, shows just how insanely foolish and stupid many folks in “leadership” roles are.
