But like Megyn, Katie Couric, Bill O'Reilley, Dan Rather, and every other has-been media personality, money isn't what produces self-actualization. Being taken out of "the game" and rendered "non-relevant" is like The End for them.
Most of us have God, family, a job that's meaningful, and that keeps us going. Most of these talking heads are on spouse #3+, are atheists/agnostic, and measure "meaningful" by Nielsen.
The pile of cash doesn't make these people happy. Relevance, power, and a fawning audience, is what they crave. The cash may as well be straw...I mean it provides them the creature comforts to which they're deserving(!), but therein lies the problem.
