A leading Russian TV presenter known as 'Putin’s voice' has expressed cold fury at the sinking of the Black Sea flagship Moskva.
-snip-
'I am furious about what happened to the Black Sea Fleet’s flagship, Moskva,' said the state TV anchor, sanctioned for his links to Putin.
'I am simply furious.'
'And yes, we say it was quite old, and went through repairs and, yes, this series of ships has vulnerabilities.
'I get it.
'But tell me this: how did you manage to lose it Explain me, why the hell you were in that particular area of the Black Sea, at that time?'
-snip-
Solovyov raged: 'And I don’t care what exactly happened - if indeed [it was] the two Neptune missiles as the Ukrainians said.
'Anyway, since when was a combat ship scared of a missile strike, since it has a defence system?
'So, was something not activated?
'Okay. Even if it was hit with two missiles, and it ignited the ammunition…
'What happened to your fire fighting system?'

All this quietness over crew lost...makes one wonder if they were carrying a full-crew, or just enough people to marginally run the vessel.
When russians don’t mention casualties, that’s a big sign all died.
What a dunce. If it was hit by two missiles and the ammunition bunker exploded, no fire fighting or any other system is going to save the ship.
The Russians like every other modern navy got into a fad of building lightly armored ships to favor fuel economy. Turns out that sunken warships are less economical than robust up armored ships.
Not that naval architects will change their ideas anytime soon. Lots more ships and men have to die before the orthodoxy wakes up.
Someone please post the image of the "Mouth of Sauron" in front of the Dark Gates!

Quietness could be for another reason:
There were reports before the sinking that additional personnel were taken aboard putting the crew at 650 plus. True of false, I don’t know.
That’s a big drawback of overloading a small ship with missiles: even a small hit can cause detonation of munitions or propellant stored on board. The ship sinks itself.
Lots more ships and men have to die before the orthodoxy wakes up.

Ask the US Navy’s LCS and DD-1000 crews, plus all those other ships with aluminum superstructures.
Voice on video: What the f..k do you think you are doing?
“Solovyov raged”.
I think I’ve seen this “rager” on YouTube.
He’s about 70, receding gray hair, and very round face. If he’s “Putin’s voice”, I don’t want to see Putin angry!
Wow, nice find. In before the ‘FAKE’ and ‘never happened’ russian bots.
Hahah, it’s great.. It’s kind of the entire Ukraine war in 2 seconds.
The problem is, and I understand it, that armor can’t be made thick enough.
So you depend on point defense and screens.
The photos and videos of the burning Moskva were leaked by RUSSIANS on the search and rescue crews.
KGB Putin was de-pantsed again by his own people.
The sinking was just a “feint”. Putin is playing 12-D chess.
The photo looks as though the ship remained afloat for awhile. I’d reckon the casualties were incurred in the missile strike itself, the rest subsequently abandoned ship.
BTW nations typically don’t immediately announce specific casualty figures in wartime.
“That’s a big drawback of overloading a small ship with missiles:”
Not a small ship. Longer than the USS Arizona. Narrower and lighter.
