The meeting at the library here one recent Monday featured a cornucopia of conspiracy theories.
Not only was the 2020 presidential election stolen, but so was the 2019 Kentucky governor's election. Facebook and Google are creations of the U.S. Department of Defense. Even the next election is already predetermined by foreign governments and other entities if no one steps in.
The hundreds in attendance were there for the "Restore Election Integrity Tour 2.0" event, which the Kentucky Secretary of State, a Republican, and the state's bipartisan Board of Elections had warned was promoting false claims.
At least eight candidates for county or state office attended, highlighting a schism within the Republican Party in Northern Kentucky. The event was even hosted by the Boone County Republican Party.
he party is so divided that the chairs of two of the local parties are running against incumbents and more Trump-friendly candidates are being recruited to primary longtime GOPers.
This is happening in the backyard of Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell, nominally the most powerful Republican in Washington D.C. and the man who has helped build the state's GOP over his 45 years in elected office. It is often his allies – considered by some Republicans more establishment – who are facing challenges. McConnell's office had no immediate comment.
“It’s really a shame the local party is behaving like this," said Campbell County Judge-executive Steve Pendery, who has held office for more than two decades. "It’s doing damage to ideals they are supposed to support.”

Oh, and about that 2019 Kentucky Governor's election, if you recall, the Republican incumbent governor was Matt Bevin. The same Matt Bevin that DARED to challenge Mitch McConnell in 2014. And then, in precursor to the Trump popularity of 2015, Bevin won the primary for governor and then was elected (to McConnell's horror).
Four years later, he was taken out, no doubt with McConnell's help.
So these aren't "conspiracy theories." This is oligarchic politics in action. We've seen it time and time again, ESPECIALLY when McConnell is involved. When some upstart candidate is getting traction on an incumbent Senator, all of a sudden comes some scandalous event or document or accusation, and the challenger drops in the polls and the incumbent wins the primary.
I have no doubt whatsoever that McConnell preferred a Democrat be governor or Kentucky rather than Matt Bevin. That's how he rolls. You dare to challenge me and you'll be destroyed.
Trump should have been behind Kathy Barnette long ago.
Oz is a sick man.
Trump is not the leader I thought he was.
Wrong thread. Sorry
At least you're on the right website.

Yahoo is getting desperate. Their precious RINO stooges are about to be slaughtered and they know it.
^I think we see the problem here.
I believe you are wrong, they stole the election last time and they will steal it again. They have no morals, and they are power-hungry, and they have an even more liberal court to side with them by not ever looking at the evidence. If people are really pissed off at the last election they will really pissed off at the next election that is coming up, and in between those two elections Biden and the Democrats will slip through a whole bunch of executive orders that will take away more of your rights that you could ever think off.
Yeah, like, ushering in globalism and the Uniparty ideals. Got it.
No mention the Thomas Massie the ideal Representive.
Representative.
spellig
Remember when Trump threw Massie under the bus, for daring to question the insane spending for a COVID bill? For calling attention to the fact that many people were actually getting huge raises by being unemployed.
The bill Trump couldn’t wait to sign was the kindling for today’s inflation.
Right on.
“I have no doubt whatsoever that McConnell preferred a Democrat be governor or Kentucky rather than Matt Bevin.”
It was Mitch’s luckiest day when Bevin lost because it meant that if anything should.... “happen”.... to Mitch during the subsequent 4 years a Democrat would get to name his replacement, and we sure don’t want that.
I’d like to think that factor is the only thing keeping Yertle from being turtle soup right about now, as any good conservative would be delighted to see.
Gaslighting propaganda from yahoo.
Good!!!!
The bush league chamber of commerce worshiping republiCAN’Ts declared war when they betrayed us, the voters, and joined forces with the democommies to elect senile ol’ joe.
Vote the traitors out!!!!!
Not necessarily. Mc Connell Is a useless corrupt neo-con stooge.
He has been in the senate for a long time and was a poor leader for Trump and has overstayed his past due date.
“I believe you are wrong, they stole the election last time and they will steal it again.”
Don’t worry, sweetpea. FR is setting up a special room where brainwashed defeatists can pet puppies, hug Soros dolls and scream that we’re dooooomed!!!
Most of them will be re-elected, including Amnesty Senators Hoeven and Rubio.
Most GOP leadership at the state level is RINO just like their big brothers in Washington. Taking control of the state parties sets a dangerous precedent in gutless Republican leadership corner. The ONLY and I mean ONLY thing a RINO will actually fight is a conservative Republican. Watch for the RINO factions of most the GOP state leadership in all states to be outed by Trump.
Amen
