Both a federal judge and the top Republican on the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot have now reached the same stark conclusion: There is evidence to suggest Donald Trump’s effort to overturn the 2020 election could be a crime.
Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., said last weekend that her panel had compiled enough facts to refer Trump to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution, while U.S. District Judge David Carter wrote last month that Trump and others undertook “a coup in search of a legal theory.”
Neither has the power to bring charges against the former president. That’s up to Attorney General Merrick Garland, whose focus to date has largely been the people who stormed the Capitol in a violent effort to keep Trump in power.
Trump denies any wrongdoing and his allies contend that Cheney has lost credibility as any sort of fair broker. Pointing to Cheney’s persistent criticism of Trump, Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem told NBC News: “I couldn’t see the point in it other than that she was angry and bitter.”

Dems have vast array of ways to take out the Republicans in November; Russia Cyber effect, millions of illegal aliens coming into the USA till November then using Executive Order to make them citizens just before the election, Dem control of the DOJ, Dem control of the news media and control of the internet connections of the voting machines. Republicans don’t stand a chance unless they maintain a close eye of every voting machine across the country. Better yet, a signed paper ballot.

Close eye will not matter - its a systemic problem created by the Dems to take control of the US election system sate and national. No one has fixed even the smallest part of it, so of course it will repeat.
Ok, defeatist. Let’s bet on the outcome of the November election.
I say the GOP takes the House.
Since you think all is lost, you claim not to believe that. So, put your money where your mouth is.
Want to do a “loser leaves FR” bet? If not, how about cold hard cash?
Let’s do this.
(Strangely, only one defeatist that I’ve offered this bet to has taken me up on it. People tend to get a little more honest when there are real consequences on the line.)
Being a Realist is not being a defeatist.
All is lost because nothing was fixed. Get it?
You’s silly to imagine anyone would take that stupid bet.
People who don’t believe what they write don’t want to take the bet because then there would be real consequences for being wrong.
Just and FYI, there are already going to be real consequences.
I’m saving the defeatist coward posts, and I will make sure that you have some claim chowder after the GOP takes back the House in November.
By the way, Governor Terry McAuliffe, Lt. Governor Ayala Hala and Attorney General Mark Herring all say high from Virginia.
:-)
It’s leftists that riot, loot, burn and bomb when they feel “wronged”, and most politicians and prosecutors cower in fear as a result.
Conservatives and Republicans, on the other hand, no matter how horribly treated, typically do nothing but complain or perhaps write a letter to the editor.
The Deep State knows that, and reacts accordingly.
Yeah so what, those are not national elections which is what we are talking about - at least I am.
😂😂😂
The midterms aren’t national elections. There are 435 separate individual elections going on in districts around the country.
I’m not sure if you understand what those words mean.
So, let’s lay out the cards.
Yes or no, do you believe that the GOP will win back the House in November?
Thou shall not question Democrats cheating, should a republican cheat and win. Then heaven protect you for the prosecution shall never end.
Re: 63 - LOL!
It is amazing the number of people who have so little confidence in their jackassin’ that they won’t take the bet.
In other words, much of what they do is to be a downer and cry all is lost.
