The Biden Administration has decided to extend the federal public transportation mask mandate for another two weeks “to monitor [the] uptick in COVID-19 cases,” says the AP’s White House reporter. Joe Biden couldn’t be doing more to elect Republicans if he tried.
First things first: The Biden Administration never should have issued that mandate in the first place, and certainly should have allowed that mandate to expire. Vulnerable in-cycle Democrats – but I repeat myself – are going to be wondering what they did to anger the leader of their party so much that he decided to hurt them even more as they prepare to campaign this fall.
Second: Let’s retire the canard that the CDC “follows the science” when it makes such decisions. That wasn’t true from the beginning, and it’s not true now.
If the CDC had been “following the science,” it never would have issued a mask mandate of any kind, because the kind of masks the vast majority of Americans have been wearing don’t stop the coronavirus from spreading. The width of the holes in a surgical mask ranges from 2 to 10 microns, while the coronavirus is just 0.12 microns in diameter. That’s less than a tenth the size of the holes in the fabric of a mask. Trying to prevent transmission of the coronavirus by wearing a mask is like trying to prevent mosquitoes from invading your backyard by putting up a chain-link fence.

Common sense along with facts are lefts weakest points.
Anything ‘COVID’ coming from CDC, NIH, FDA, anyone in government is a lie until proven otherwise ..... they’re all that corrupt.
She ends her piece with “bless his heart” regarding FJB. Not what I would say ....
Remember in November! And there’s a lot to remember.
YesterdAy at the super market I decided to count the nitwits wearing face coverings. Mind you this is Florida. Over 15 minutes I saw 20 and the breakdown was 18 to 3 women to men. Most looked older than 40. My guess is the media is beginning the drum beat on the commie virus scare.
In the south “bless your heart” is a sly dig at somebody. Kind of li,e “Let’s Go Brandon.”
...totally agree.... I am sooooo disgusted with this administration....the national mask mandate for public transportation has been extended for 15 day, if I am correct...then, after that.....?? another 15 days “to flatten the curve....” or some such claptrap....you watch; there will be call for more mail-in ballots as the mid-term elections draw nearer.....
I’m a “southern” woman .... use it often. Still, would not use it for FJB ... needs to be more than a “sly dig”.
Another ‘good one’ when someone is saying something you do not agree with, lecturing you, etc. (especially if you can manage a somewhat ‘syrupy’ southern accent): “Why THANK you for sharing that with me”. They usually take it as a positive response until they think about it .... you’re not agreeing at all.
Pretty much the same thing here. “They” lap the lies up with a spoon ... mmmm, mmmm good - gotta get that face diaper ON!! /sarc
I haven’t seen a great outcry by Washington republicans about anything Fauci has done aside from maybe Ron Paul. THEY”VE DONE NOTHING!
Come November people will decide if they want a progressive that comes with a 60k EV requirement or the freedom that we knew 2 years ago
Never ending inflation
Never ending open borders
Never ending witch hunts
Never ending senility
Take your pick…..
Oh yeah, just two more weeks. Uh huh.
‘you watch; there will be call for more mail-in ballots as the mid-term elections draw nearer’
mailed votes have been us for many election cycles, not only absentee ballots, but for the five states primarily employing the mails for vote totals...
mailed votes are not the problem; what is the problem are centralized locations for collecting those votes, and transporting them to the various precincts...in an ideal world, a vote of any type would go directly from the voter to the precinct, either by physical presence or usage of the postal service...
Just two weeks. Where have I heard that before?
