SAS troops have trained local forces in Kyiv for the first time since the war with Russia began, Ukrainian commanders have told The Times.

Officers from two battalions stationed in and around the capital said they had undergone military training from serving British special forces, one last week and the other the week before.

Captain Yuriy Myronenko, whose battalion is stationed in Obolon on the northern outskirts of Kyiv, said that military trainers had come to instruct new and returning military recruits to use NLAWs, British-supplied anti-tank missiles that were delivered in February as the invasion was beginning.

The SAS are superb troops; a very professional and very good outfit. I want them on my side in any fight.

I gotta hand it to Boris. Squishy as heck on domestic affairs, but fairly clear-eyed on foreign policy. Whatever the issues facing Britain, turning a blind eye to the revival of Russian (or any other) imperialism won’t solve them.

Yet more evidence of NATO provocation.

The Freeper warriors are starting to sway me on this “Defend Ukraine Borders” against “Russian Speaking Breakaway States.” The resulting Nuclear War may save America from our Communist Blue Cities. Imagine a world without DC, New York, Los Angeles, etc.

Or we can sit back and wave China in. They detest crime, disorder, Muslims, a poor school system, Russophobia, etc,

It sounds like Ukraine is a virtual member of NATO.

“NATO onsite in Ukraine.”

Didn’t we promise Russia back in the 90s that we wouldn’t bring NATO to their borders?

Not going to do much good when a 100 megaton lands on London.

Talk is cheap. Will the Russians do that? For what it's worth, the Soviets helped out the Koreans and the Vietnamese when they were fighting the American during their wars. Then we returned the favor in Afghanistan. (eventually that backfired, ha)

All YOU’RE going to see is a flash. After that...nothing. You won’t even be a shadow on the side of a wall.

“Didn’t we promise Russia back in the 90s that we wouldn’t bring NATO to their borders?”

Yes.

But it was only verbal assurance and non-binding.

Because everyone at the time thought the idea that NATO would put troops on Russia’s borders...was ludicrous on its face.

Here we are.

And Russia is willing to fight an existential war over it.

Is the USA?

The country better think long and hard.

Didn’t Russia promise not to invade its neighbors?

With Boris in Kiev last week he must have come with an entourage.

Makes a lot of sense for a few of the SAS guys to stay behind.

And what was the Russian invasion?

All part of the ongoing border dispute which started in 2014, and none of our business.

It was none of our business.

It has become our business.

Putin did that.
