‘We Can’t Be Hypocrites’: Mayor Eric Adams Calls Out BLM’s Silence On Rising Shootings, Deaths (New York)

Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams called out Black Lives Matter’s (BLM) silence on the rising number of shootings and crime-related deaths throughout the city during a Thursday interview with Spectrum News.

The host asked the mayor how to handle the increasing number of shootings occurring in the city, as she cited that over a dozen shootings took place on Wednesday night alone.

“By being consistent with our message. Here’s my question that I put out to the city. Hey, I thought black lives matter. Where are all those who stated ‘black lives matter?’ Then go do an analysis of who was killed or shot last night. I was up all night speaking to my commanders in the Bronx and Brooklyn. The victims were black, many of the shooters were black.”

“So I asked a question that was they were asking me when I was a child, it’s 10 p.m., do you know where your children are? Why are 16, 17 and 18-year-olds out in our streets armed with guns till 1 o’clock at night? When are we going to start asking these serious questions? If black lives matter, then the thousands of people I saw on the street when Floyd was murdered should be on the street right now stating that the lives of these children who are dying every night matters. We can’t be hypocrites.”

The Left insisted that everybody get behind the slogan "black lives matter" but cut off any further discussion. The obvious question screaming to be asked was "matter to whom?"

It's clear why the Left can't allow that question, because the answer to the question "do black lives matter to black people?" is obviously a resounding "no".

Black culture is all about glorifying a life of crime and abnegation. It's about the mass murder of black babies through abortion. Blacks murder other blacks in an endless stream of daily headlines in every newspaper in nearly every city in the county.

Black political life is all about unquestioned fealty to the Democrat Party in exchange for a steady stream of (mostly) other people's tax dollars even though black people know that the Democrats are all about genocide of black people through abortion, the destruction of the black family, and mass black incarceration.

To paraphrase Heather MacDonald, the Left won't talk about black crime because if they do sooner or later they'd have to talk about black criminality, and the Democrats can't have that if they want to keep black people block-voting them into power.

After all, a big part of the consideration the black people get in exchange for block voting for the Democrats the past 90 years is that no matter how far their inner city communities sink into degradation, the Democrat Party will always be there to assuage their egos by telling them none of it is their fault, that nothing they could ever have done could change anything at all. They're the perfect victims of capitalism, you see.

I'm sick unto death of the entire thing.
