I think the point of the article is not that everyone will be a felon, but only conservatives.
Political party powers shift, but the Federal Government just gets bigger. So, everyone will be a felon if they protest the government in the future. Liberals are to silly to see where the road goes. They think of the now, not the time wherein the other party control things and used the same government against everyone.
