I wouldn’t call Stalin an ally with Hitler. They agreed to a tenuous non-aggression agreement which broken by Operation Barbarossa.

The German military conducted advanced research and training in the Soviet Union for almost a decade. Even after Hitler came to power, almost up to the start of Operation Barbarossa, the two countries were cooperating militarily.

“Stalin, who had begun personally directing Soviet naval construction in 1936, made sure that the Soviet military received vast quantities of German military technology in the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact in exchange for Soviet raw materials. Germany again began to send its officers to the Soviet Union to advise and assist the Soviets in training and technical development. Further, in the fall of 1939, the Germans agreed to supply Soviet submarines fighting against Finland, while the Soviets did the same for German commerce raiders. At the height of cooperation, Stalin even granted the German Navy permission to open a secret naval base near Murmansk to interdict British shipping and assist in the invasion of Norway. Only with the German invasion of the Soviet Union would the last of the joint ventures be terminated.”

Poland had a non-aggression pact with nazi Germany also. I guess that made them an ally also. Nobody would call Poland a nazi ally, just illustrating the point you made that a non-aggression pact is not an alliance.

Hitler obtained huge amounts of raw material from the Soviet Union.

Russia learned how to make good tanks and considerable other technical advances from the Germans.

There was a lot of cooperation before Hitler invaded. Stalin was incensed, because he had expected to be the one to stab Hitler in the back.

The Soviets also had a non-aggression pact with Japan for most of the war except the last 6 weeks or so. Also not an alliance.
The USSR was flat out evil, but no sane person isn’t glad they beat Hitler. Our supplies kept them alive, but 7 of every 9 Germans killed in WWII died on the eastern front.

LOL...differences with no distinctions.

Sad to see freepers unable to grasp the core reality.
