The extension of the federal mask mandate for public transportation is based on “more COVID theater” and is “the Biden equivalent of continuing the beatings until morale improves,” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) said in a sharp statement on Wednesday.
“Biden’s extension of the transportation mask mandate simply prolongs the misery that passengers and flight attendants are being forced to endure,” the governor said in a statement following the news of federal officials extending the mask requirement for public transportation yet again.

It's totally stupid to walk around NYC all day with no mask, only to have to put one on just because you are going onto a train - which by the way has some of the cleanest air you will find in the city.
In recent weeks, most of the riders are starting to pull them down or have them off completely. The conductors seem to have given up on enforcing it especially as nobody is complaining.

DeSantis is investing so much into a presidential run it’s a question whether he’ll declare for 2024 regardless of whether Trump does or not. Or else he has a better view of Trump’s 2024 plans than the rest of us do.
Pres and VP cannot be from the same state.
Trump should run in 2024, with DeSantis as his VP, win and then step down in 2026, giving DeSantis a possible 10 years.

With Desantis you get the fighter without the Trump baggage. Trump will be 78 years old and starting out with at least 40% of the country voting against him on name alone. He’s past his sell-by date.
