Actually, that is an excellent idea and would have an immediate impact on the overall crime rate. If a criminal knows he or she will be in a co-ed situation, with full room and board, and all medical and other needs paid for by the State, then there would be no reason to ever leave. This is certainly a long way from the old description of prison as “three hots and a cot.”
